Tank is a four month old Australian Shepherd Mix, Curl Tail Edition. He loves being coy but most of all he wants to be your bestest boy! As with all puppies he will need some guidance/training to become a great adult dog. We can help you find that training to lead him on his best journey! Our adoption fee of $80 helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Story
SHERLOCK SHERLOCK is a 1-year-old male, catahoula/cattle dog mix but that's just the start! You'd have to be Sherlock Holms to unravel the other 17 breeds mixed up in this happy little body! (how about Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, St. Bernard, Boxer, Chihuahua and the list goes on!!) He is full grown and weighs 45 lbs so the big and the little balanced each other out! SHERLOCK is very outgoing, and good with other dogs. He came to us from a local shelter where he was picked up as a stray. More than likely, someone got him as a puppy and then was not able to provide the proper amount of exercise. Thanks to our volunteers, he gets to go on long walks and investigate lots of things. Thanks to our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program, we had an inmate who was able to get him going in the right direction and teach him basic obedience. Time and alot of TLC, and we can really turn these dogs around. Sherlock's perfect family should be active. A good fenced in yard and another young dog to play with are also desired. He's fun to be around! IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind both the age and life expectancy of Sherlock. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life. If interested in adopting SHERLOCK, our process begins with submission of our online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
A fun-loving puppy with the most precious little face? Where's the sign-up sheet? Kailani is so ready to grow up in her forever home! Between her waggin' tail and playful demeanor, she's the total puppy package. She was a stray before she arrived here, so we don't have much history on this sweetie, but like any other pup, she would benefit from some obedience training as she grows! One thing you must know about Kailani is she LOVES to pick things up with her mouth and ingest them! She thought it was great fun until she got an intestinal blockage and had to have exploratory surgery to remove the ball fragment she had ingested. We would like to think she learned her lesson, but we aren't taking any chances. Her adopter is going to have to be super vigilant about not letting Kailani have access to anything she could ingest. Her Veterinary team said that due to the severity and location of the blockage, she is at a higher risk of another blockage if she swallows something she shouldn't. Kailani would be open to fur-siblings, or even human siblings! She enjoys all things playtime and toys, and would loveeee a family that has time to play and exercise her. If you think Kailani could be your perfect match, give Woodford Humane Society a call at 859-873-5491 to schedule an appointment to meet her or with any questions!
