We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting Merlin, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org. Merlin's adoption fee is $350. Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 9 months old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Becuase of this, we would really like to find a well-equipped foster who can help him learn how to be a house pet, so he can find his furever home. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. My name is Milly, and I am looking for a new home! My old family lost their home to foreclosure and can no longer take care of me, but I have a lot of love to give and want to find a new home soon. I am 1 1/2 years old and 55 pounds; I am a mix, so I don’t know my full history, but I got a clean bill of health from the vet. I am very energetic and do well with kids and other dogs (large dogs are best, little dogs are scary). I like to have lots of open room to play so a big back yard would be great. I am house trained and fully vaccinated so please call my foster mom and set up a meeting with me today!

He loves to play fetch (especially if the ball has a squeaker!) and tug of war. He’s loves his daily naps but when it’s play time or treats are involved he’ll get the excited shakes. He’s extremely smart and loves to learn new tricks and games. He is great with kids of all ages and is a perfect walker on a leash. He's really an easy and super chill guy! He’s good with other dogs with gentle and gradual introductions.  Approximate Birthdate:  Apr 2017 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .
