Meet Theo! This silly boy is a hoot who will make any family happy. He is true to his collie breed and loves to play with his herding ball. He can be a bossy-pants boy but is very smart and trainable. Theo would love a home where he can get regular exercise and enrichment! He is incredibly sweet and good with other dogs and people, but as we said - he can be a sassy-pants so older kids might be better. Theo would love to find a family to love him furever!

These two brothers love to run and play . They need to be fed separately they want everybody’s food. They are big but very much puppies. They are working on potty training and walking on a leash. They should start training soon but are looking for their new family. They are mixed with Aussie, shepherd, heeler and they don’t know the dad’s breed since momma was in with 40 other dogs. They are very food motivated. They are fully vetted and microchipped. They probably need an area to run since they are larger dogs. Story

Blue is a true australian shepherd. He hits the floor running in the morning and goes all day long. He is not a quiet dog by no means. He plays, runs and barks He gets along with other dogs but not some farm animals. He is definetley more a mans dog than a women's. He loves to be petted and loved on He is potty trained but you have to make him go out he walks to the door and you have to know that's his cue. His prior owner had his coat cut shorter it is growing back out now. He would be good to take hiking, running, playing with toys. His first owner had kids and he was awesome with them the second family he didn't like their pet pig or children. He is vetted neutered, vaccines, rabies, wormed ,microchipped, He is a very bright dog and I think you could train him to do anything. He likes to annoy the other dogs with his barking at them. Once he is use to you and trained to stay with you he can be taken off the leash. I would wait a while to do that until he is comfortable with you and listens otherwise he may run off and he will travel a long ways.

Daisy is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with lots of energy and a love for play. She thrives in a home with a yard or access to open space, especially with other dogs. Daisy is spayed, healthy, up-to-date on shots, and weighs about 60 pounds. Not currently microchipped but I’d be happy to get it done before rehoming. She’s loving, friendly, and rarely barks. While she’s never shown aggression, her high energy means a home with older kids or no kids is ideal. She jumps and play-bites only when excited, but has never harmed anyone. She hasn’t been around cats but has only ever wanted to play with other animals. Daisy needs time, attention, and space to thrive. My long work hours and small house with lack of a yard mean she spends too much time in her kennel, which isn’t fair to her. If you have experience with active breeds and/or the ability to provide her with the active lifestyle she needs, Daisy will quickly warm up and become a loyal, cuddly companion.

We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting Merlin, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org. Merlin's adoption fee is $350. Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 9 months old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Becuase of this, we would really like to find a well-equipped foster who can help him learn how to be a house pet, so he can find his furever home. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children.
