We show our dogs by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting Merlin, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org. Merlin's adoption fee is $350. Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 9 months old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Becuase of this, we would really like to find a well-equipped foster who can help him learn how to be a house pet, so he can find his furever home. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. Meet Theo! This silly boy is a hoot who will make any family happy. He is true to his collie breed and loves to play with his herding ball. He can be a bossy-pants boy but is very smart and trainable. Theo would love a home where he can get regular exercise and enrichment! He is incredibly sweet and good with other dogs and people, but as we said - he can be a sassy-pants so older kids might be better. Theo would love to find a family to love him furever!

Aurora is very sweet and calm. She takes awhile to come around and is very timid at first. She loves other dogs, they give her more confidence and she trots around excitedly when she is outside with them. She is also cat friendly and was living with cats for a few months with her previous foster. She’s very calm and will spend most of her day sleeping. She does good in the crate but she does have to be coaxed to go in it when we want her to. She doesn’t hate the crate- she is very quiet when she’s in it and uses it as her comfort place for hours every day for her multiple naps of the day lol! She’s potty trained and has only had a few accidents here. She’s the perfect package and she’s also the most adorable dog ever! 😍
