Story
Pepper is eagerly looking for her forever home! This lovable 2-year-old sweetheart weighs 53 pounds and is a delightful mix, likely a combination of Husky and Australian Shepherd. With a coat as soft as a bunny, she adores belly rubs and cuddling with everyone in her foster home. Pepper enjoys chewing on her bones and occasionally barks, though she’s not as chatty as a typical Husky. She loves spending time outdoors, happily watching birds and squirrels from her yard. While she gets along well with other dogs, she would also thrive as the only dog in the household. To keep her safe and happy, Pepper requires a physically fenced yard where she can run and play freely. Rescued as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in Missouri, Pepper arrived with a lump on her throat. A veterinary visit revealed a damaged salivary gland that needed attention. After undergoing surgery at Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, she’s on the mend. She also tested positive for Lyme disease but has since received treatment and is ready to find her new family. If you’re looking for a playful and affectionate companion, Pepper might just be the perfect addition to your life! Pepper is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Pepper, please fill out the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. For questions about Pepper, please contact rox@furfunrecue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters within an hour of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Indoor homes only. Adoption donation $300.

Story
Meet Foxy, a stunning 5-year-old Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mix who’s ready to become your loyal companion! Weighing in at 65 pounds, Foxy is the perfect balance of playful energy and affectionate heart. She came into rescue when her previous owner could no longer care for her, but since arriving in her foster home, she’s been thriving—surrounded by love, attention, and the care she deserves. Foxy’s loving nature shines through in everything she does. She’s a gentle, intelligent, and loyal girl who thrives on human companionship. Her favorite pastimes include cuddles, pets, and quality one-on-one time with her people. Whether you’re relaxing at home, going for a walk, or tackling a project around the house, Foxy is your shadow, always ready to be by your side. Her affectionate personality means she’ll happily follow you from room to room, making sure she’s a part of whatever you’re doing. When it comes to other dogs, Foxy plays well with other large dogs, making her a great match for households with similarly sized pups. However, she’s not a fan of cats, so she would do best in a cat-free home. Foxy has a lot of love to give, and she’d be thrilled to share her heart with another dog who enjoys her playful demeanor. Given her mix of Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog, Foxy is an active and intelligent girl who benefits from having a physically fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and get out her energy. She’s the kind of dog who enjoys outdoor adventures, whether it’s chasing a ball, running around with a playmate, or simply exploring her surroundings. Foxy would do best in a home where she gets plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. This sweet girl is looking for a home where she’ll be showered with love and attention, and in return, she’ll offer you unwavering loyalty and devotion. Foxy is ready to be your constant companion, filling your days with affection, play, and a whole lot of heart. If you’re looking for a beautiful, loving, and loyal dog who will always be there for you, Foxy might be your perfect match! Foxy is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you would like to meet Foxy, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Foxy you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within two hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption fee $300.

Falkor is named for a fictional character who reminds his buddy that "good luck will come to you." We believe good luck will come to the family that chooses this adorable guy! He has a tail that seems stuck in a permanent "wag" mode, and he is an active, happy dude! Falkor will need some help with his manners, but he is loving and friendly. He has an adorable face and an uber soft coat that begs to be petted. He is up to date on vaccines and will be neutered soon. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, but is calling Iowa his home now.
