Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must. Meet Stella - 65lbs. - Stella was purchased from someone on social media. She is extremely nervous & under-socialized. She was likely only with that person her entire life. The volunteers at the shelter have been working with her but she would do best in a home around calmer people regularly. We keep her on a leash at all times. So far she has not willingly let us touch her & barks if we try. She is potty trained & walks well on her leash. She seems interested in squeaky toys & also interested in people. She is definitely a little overweight & could use small walks to help her lose a little weight. She’s absolutely gorgeous & we just know she is going to come along. She does well with calm, confident doggos. Help us find her a foster family. We don’t think she will do well with cats or small dogs. ID# 57480450- Apply to foster or adopt. She is very outgoing and such a great dog but she can not be in a home with another dog. She is a very dominant and does attack at times. Its the only reason why we need to rehome her. She is amazing with kids and cats and she loves walks and being outside. She also spends a lot of time sleeping.

Hello, this is Charlie the Australian Shepard! He was my brother’s dog since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, my brother passed away on December 28th. Charlie was obtained from a breeder and I have his papers. Charlie was born on 4/24/2018. Charlie had 2 cat siblings and a poodle sister so he gets along with other pets well. He is non aggressive and has never bitten anyone. Before my brother got his illness, Charlie was part of a local dog walking club where he was walked with several other dogs and their owners. Although Charlie was not around kids that much, we have introduced him to several which he showers with licks. Charlie has a lot of energy and deserves a family with a fenced in yard OR has a lot of open space to run and play. I would guess that Charlie is about 50 lbs. Charlie is just too much dog for us right now so we are looking for a nice family to re-home him to.
