You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Onyx!  *His adoption fee is $250.00. *He is believed to be a 6 month old Aussie mix, but it is impossible for us to know without a DNA test.*Onyx is a sweet little guy who loves to cuddle, perfect for Netflix nights!*He loves to play and be silly and has great recall.*Onyx travels well in a car.  Loves chew toys and is very affectionate.*He is potty trained and crate trained.*Onyx does know his basic obedience commands.*He is good with cats, kids, and other dogs.  He can play a little rough so this may or may not be an issue with smaller dogs, depending on the dog.*Onyx is probably not suitable for apartment living.  Due to his tendency to bark frequently at noises or other dogs, he would be most successful in an actual house setting.*The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. Story
Meet our girl, Izzie! She’s a 5-year-old spayed female Australian Shepherd who is microchipped and up to date on all her vaccinations, with the next ones due in July 2025. Izzie is currently on Purina Hydrolyzed (Rx) food and enjoys regular grooming. Izzie absolutely adores people and is the best door greeter around! She thrives on companionship and is happiest when she’s with her family. Smart and eager to please, she knows commands like sit, lay, shake, and kennel up for treats. Plus, she loves to cuddle! Unfortunately, our one-year-old daughter’s curiosity makes Izzie a bit uncomfortable. We want both Izzie and our toddler to be in environments where they can thrive, so we’ve made the tough decision to rehome her. Izzie would do best in a home without young children. She’s a fantastic dog who deserves a loving space where she feels safe. She will come with her cage, bowl, water dispenser, leash, collar, and a bag of food. If you’re interested, please apply through the AdoptAPet

Very sweet, cuddly dog. Sadly, I need to rehome her because she does not do well with young kids. She is mostly potty trained, but does still have accidents from time to time. She would do awesome in a home without kids!

Story
Meet Dudley, the adventurous Australian Shepherd mix who recently came to FDHS after spending several days exploring the world on his own. While he might start off a little cautious, it doesn’t take long for Dudley to warm up and show off his friendly, affectionate side. Once he feels comfortable, he’s all about tail wags and gentle nudges for attention.Though we’re still getting to know him, Dudley doesn’t seem to mind the other shelter dogs and has the potential to be a great companion for the right family. He’d do best with a fenced yard or daily walks to help him stay active and happy. If you’re looking for a mild-mannered adventurer, Dudley could be your guy!
