Story
SHERLOCK is a 1.5-year-old male, catahoula/cattle dog mix but that's just the start! If you want to take a guess at the "mix" piece? Whatever you guess, you'll be right as there are no less than 17 in this happy little body! He is full grown and weighs 45 pounds, He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventative. SHERLOCK is very outgoing, and good with other young dogs that match his energy level. Sherlock's perfect family should be active. A fenced in yard is necessary so he can receive the proper amount of exercise. Sherlock requires a home with kids over 12yrs of age due to his energy level and zest for life. Sherlock would do best in a home without cats. IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind both the age and life expectancy of Sherlock. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life. If interested in adopting SHERLOCK, our process begins with submission of our online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
Looking for a new fur baby? Look no further than this young fella, Taz! He's a ball of energy and can't wait to run, jump, and play all day long. He's a friendly fella and loves all dogs, cats and farm animals. He's a smart cookie and is always up for a game of fetch, or whatever game you want to play! If you're looking for an adventure buddy, Taz is your guy. So don't be afraid to take him on long walks and hikes! Come meet this goofy guy today and see if he's the right fit for your family! Name: Taz Breed: Australian Shepherd Sex: Male Age: 7 months Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled Vaccinations: Vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter Heartworm: Negative Housetrained: Yes! Microchipped: Not yet Adoption Fee/Donation: $400 Important!! Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
