Story
Bella is a female German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix. She's eight years old. This girl is as gentle as they come. In all her eight years, I have never once heard her growl. She loves everything and everyone. She wants to be loved and has been her whole life. She adores children and loves having them around. She's never met another animal she hasn't loved. She has always lived inside, but loves going on hikes and roaming the yard with me while I garden. She is sensitive to chicken by products in dog food, but loves eating rotisserie chicken, or canned salmon mixed in with her food. She seems to do well on blue diamond beef or salmon. If you are looking for a faithful, loving, best friend look no further. If you are a calm and loving pet owner she will give you her heart.

Story
Weight: 50 lbsChance is a one year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart full of potential. While he may be shy when meeting new people, he truly shines in the presence of other dogs. Having a confident canine friend in the home is essential for Chance, as he takes comfort in their companionship and guidance. Like any of us, Chance just needs a friend. This energetic boy thrives on rough and rowdy play, making him an ideal match for dogs who love to wrestle, chase, and engage in spirited play sessions. His herding instincts may also come into play during these activities, adding to his unique personality. With time, patience, and the right environment, Chance will continue to build his confidence and form deep bonds with those around him.Chance would do best with an adopter who understands his need for a structured routine, positive reinforcement, and plenty of opportunities for play and socialization. In the right home, he will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion, bringing joy and adventure to his forever family! So, whaddya say? Can you take a `chance` on him?Dogs: Must go home with a Caine companion Cats: Unknown. Please let staff know if you have cats in your homeKids: Highly recommend all kids in the home come in and meet

Story
Hi there! I'm Charlie and I am 11 months old! I am so shy at first but if you come visit me a few times and give me a chance to warm up to you, you will quickly realize that I am the sweetest boy who would love nothing more than to cuddle in your lap. I have come so far since the day I was surrendered to the AWL. The day I came in I was very reactive and terrified of any type of leash near me. In only 2 days the staff gained my trust and had me walking confidently on a leash and now I have no fears of walking. Before I came here my favorite person was a little girl so I don’t mind children but any new people should go slow and give me time to trust them.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
