Story
SHERLOCK SHERLOCK is a 1-year-old male, catahoula/cattle dog mix but that's just the start! You want to take a guess at the "mix" piece? Whatever you guess, you'll be right as there are no less than 17 in this happy little body! (how about Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, St. Bernard, Boxer, Chihuahua and the list goes on!!) He is full grown and weighs 45 lbs so the big and the little balanced each other out! SHERLOCK is very outgoing, and good with other dogs. He came to us from a local shelter where he was picked up as a stray. More than likely, someone got him as a puppy and then was not able to provide the proper amount of exercise. Thanks to our volunteers, he gets to go on long walks and investigate lots of things. Thanks to our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program, we had an inmate who was able to get him going in the right direction and teach him basic obedience. Most recently, he's fallen in love with Clover. When they're in the play yard, sharing their big stick, nothing else in the world matters. Sherlock's perfect family should be active. A good fenced in yard and another young dog to play with are also desired (preferably Clover!). He's fun to be around! IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind both the age and life expectancy of Sherlock. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life. If interested in adopting SHERLOCK, our process begins with submission of our online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Michele (mballenger58@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Please read all details in bio before applying for adoption!Link is our very special pup. He is a blind neuro boy and because of this it will take time and patience for him to adjust. He may act out in fear. He occasionaly has night terrors. He will need to get familiar with his new person's scent and voice to know they are near. We are looking for a special person, preferably who has experience with a blind pup and Is willing to discuss and work with him. Link is very fearful of other animals and would do best in a home with only adult humans and a fenced yard.  He will always be a pup. Link has an amazing personality and is very loving, especially to those who give him belly rubs and food (his two favorite things). He knows his crate is a safe place and gets very comfortable. He loves to run and play in the yard. He will be some work for the right individual who can help him blossom.  Link is medium in size, he has grown more than expected.CARE's adoption process is done by the applicant using their cell at the adoption meeting to access the Shelterluv platform to agree to the adoption contract and pay the $250 adoption fee by credit or debit card. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 5:57 pm

Online Adoption Application › Echo is incredibly food driven and very much so has the desire to work & please. She could really excell in a performance home. She's a good swimmer & very agile so dock diving, rally, agility... all good options. Probably too much for a companion pet home unless you are ready to run marathons daily with her.
