Ollie came into our lives four years ago through a reputable breeder in South Dakota, and from the start he showed a sweet, spirited nature that never fails to brighten a room. At four years old, he's looking for a new family who can love him wholeheartedly, give him plenty of space to run and exercise, and devote the time and patience he needs. Ideally someone with experience working with reactive dogs. Though he is a smart, funny, loyal, and kind companion, Ollie does struggle with excessive barking, anxiety around new people, and an uneasy rapport with other pets. He needs a caring individual or family who understands his fears and can offer gentle guidance as he continues to learn and grow. With the right support, Ollie's big heart and playful spirit will shine through, rewarding his new family with endless affection and loyalty.

Oakley was with current owner since a puppy but cannot keep as the family is too busy (3 kids and another large dog and cat), and Oakley is not getting the love, care and attention she needs. Oakley doesn’t play with toys too much but does play w/them when her non-sibling brother, Dobie mix, plays w/them and her. She likes running around w/him in their yard. She is a bit docile and submits to pets by rolling on her back for belly rubs. Oakley would be an easy addition for anyone as she lives w/three children ages (4, 6, & 9 years old), a cat, and a dog, so she’s good w/all. We would like to take this girl in now before she winds up somewhere not so good but need a foster home until her adoptive home is found. Huxlee is a well mannered 45 lbs mix breed 3 year old boy. He would do best in a home with children over 12 and no other dogs. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Goose is a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. We received him from a friend who trains dogs. He knows the commands Sit, Stay, Wait, Down (lay down), Come, Off (get off furniture or people), and Go to Bed. He is crate trained, house broken, leash trained, and has been trained not to get on the couch or bed. He is a sweet friendly dog who loves activity and people. Goose needs a family with older children that can play and run around with him or a family that is very active and willing to take him along for the ride! He loves a great game of fetch and to go on runs or walks.

In Cleveland, GA Wiggly Quiglee as we call him is the sweetest and most adorable pup you will ever meet. His butt gets the wiggles every time he meets a new person. He just wants to lick everyone to death. Seniors and kids alike adore this cute fluff. He may be a "senior" dog but his motor says otherwise. He could play for hours if given the chance. He was previously loved and owned by a senior citizen. Quiglee was his heart dog, but unfortunately his owner passed away and now Quiglee is missing a little piece of his heart. He wants to bring joy and love to a new family. He would make the absolutely sweetest therapy dog and would love to help children learn to read, to go on hospital visits or to bring a little joy to the lives of seniors in nursing homes. Quiglee knows most basic commands and is house-trained. Quiglee does not do well with cats. He has not shown any aggressive signs towards other dogs. Quiglee is located in Cleveland, GA. He is approximately 9 years old. He is up to date on shots and is neutered. Quiglee has a sister who he would love to be adopted with, but it is not a requirement. He name is Millie and she is also posted and there would be a discount if they were adopted together. She absolutely loves to get loved on and will sit quietly by your side or in your lap for hours if you so desire. She is a very quiet dog for the most part except for when she hears the mailman. She was loved and owned by a senior citizen who passed away earlier this year and is now looking for a new forever home. She gets along great with all people and animals, although she prefers quieter households. She would never hurt a child or baby but she would likely not thrive in a home with loud children. She has never met a dog or cat that she did not like. She is trained to most basic commands and is house-trained. Millie is located in Cleveland, GA. She is approximately 10 years old. She is up to date on shots and is spayed. Millie has a brother who she would love to be adopted with, but it is not a requirement. If you choose to adopt both there will be a discount!
