Welcome Sunflower, aka Sunny. This little girl is a breath of fresh air. Full grown at only 40 lbs, Sunny is the perfect size or apartment dwellers, renters and home owners alike. Unfortunately, Sunflower was an owner surrender to an over-crowded animal shelter. There she sat for several months with very little interest before she came to the Humane Soceity. Here she is loved by everyone for her outgoing, playful personality. She loves to play with toys and will chase a ball for hours. She loves other dogs and and cats, children and all adults. She would do great in an active home with other animals and children. Sunflower appears to be housebroken, walks well on a leash, is spayed and curent on all vaccines and heart worm.  Come meet Sunflower and fall in love . We did! Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Story
Meet Bella, a bouncy, lovable gal who is eager to play and shower you with affection. Bella needs another dog to hang with, and highly preferable that that dog also likes to run and play. Bella is working on leash manners and is eager to please. She is crate trained and well in the car and with Kids. She has never met a stranger and loves to go on adventures. She has done well with dog savvy cats and does not have any issue with smaller dogs and does not seem to have prey drive.

Story
Sirius is a 9 year old Male Aussie mix, weighs 40-45 lbs., current with vaccinations, neutered and we will microchip him. He is heartworm positive and has started on treatment. He is a friendly boy, housetrained, is food possessive, so may need to be the only dog in the home. He has been exposed to children, but they have been a little older, so maybe no smaller children. There is a home out there for Sirius, so please SHARE in hopes that the right person will see this and step up to foster or adopt him.

Story
Sweet dog who deserves a good home where she can be out in a yard to play. Unfortunately, my busy schedule does not allow her to do that while also in the process of moving. She needs to be in a home that can give her the proper time and attention. She is a rescue from Lubbock, TX which makes her a beautiful West Texas dog and she's tough like it! She loves pets and attention and will bring you so much joy with her clumsiness. She is a loving dog who deserves the opportunity to have the attention given to her as much as she will give to you! She is up to date on vaccines. She is registered at both the Flowery Branch and Gainesville animal clinics. She will come with her own crate, harness, and all the dog food that she has left.

These pups are in Hartwell, Georgia too!

Good with dogs,
Story
Meet Noelle — a beautiful 18-month-old, 35-lb Border Collie mix who decided to make her grand entrance into rescue life on Christmas Eve . Saved by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Noelle arrived seriously underweight and with an old harness that had clearly overstayed its welcome (embedded harnesses are not a fashion trend we recommend). While she once had a home, no one came looking for this sweet girl — but their loss is about to be someone else’s very big win. Noelle has big, soulful brown eyes and the cutest underbite you’ve ever seen. Braces won’t be necessary (lol) — she eats just fine and is happily rediscovering her curves one meal at a time. True to her Border Collie roots, Noelle gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and enjoys herding the bigger animals whenever possible. (Someone has to keep order, after all.) She’s currently polishing up her potty training and table manners, both of which will thrive with a consistent and loving family. Noelle would be an excellent fit for an active family with children and room to run. Because she’s basically powered by rocket fuel, very small children or infants may not be her best match — she has enthusiasm to spare. From morning zoomies to evening playtime, Noelle is full-throttle fun… until bedtime, when she happily transforms into a snuggly cuddle bug. If Noelle sounds perfect to you — that’s because she is. Come meet this precious young pup and prepare for your heart to melt. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing.
