Story
Ladies and Gentleman start your engines" Indie is here! This is one fun, active and loving dog! First thing that comes to mind when I think of Indie, is The Indianapolis 500. She is fast, has lots of fun power and is loyal to her sponsor/family. Indie just came back to us through no fault of her own. Sadly, her parents have been juggling work schedules and could not make it work. Indie has a wonderful temperament, a loyal and sweet blend of Cattle Dog and Australian Shephard. She would be ideal for an active, attentive family with a fenced yard. (Only reviewing applications with fenced yards) Indie prefers to be the only dog in the home. Did I mention she's an Internet sensation in Dalton? Many have seen her cruising around downtown in the infamous Red Convertible and eating at local eateries. This gal fits in everywhere and loves having a side kick.Come meet our "Winner"; she will steal your heart! To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Diamond Jacks, a serene and loving 7-year-old Australian Shepherd who is searching for her forever home. Diamond Jacks was abandoned alongside her fur sister Darcy, a sweet Catahoula, where Highway 136 crosses the Appalachian Trail. Despite her rough start, Diamond Jacks is ready to find a loving family to call her own. Diamond Jacks is very quiet but has a heart full of love. She enjoys calm and peaceful environments where she can relax and feel safe. Her gentle nature makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a devoted and mellow friend. Currently, we are testing Diamond Jacks for the MDR1 gene before we spay her and treat her heartworms, ensuring she gets the best care possible. She gets along well with other dogs and would do wonderfully in a home that appreciates her tranquil and affectionate demeanor. If you're looking for a loyal, calm, and loving companion, Diamond Jacks could be the perfect addition to your family. Give this gentle soul the loving home she deserves.

Reaper is a loving and gentle soul with a heart of gold. This sweet boy is known for his unwavering loyalty and protective nature, making him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a devoted furry friend. He adores the company of other dogs and gets along well with cats, showing his easygoing and adaptable personality. Reaper is also wonderful with children, displaying patience and kindness that make him an excellent addition to a family. At first, Reaper might be a bit timid and standoffish, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and playful side shines through. He thrives on companionship and quickly forms deep bonds with those who show him love. While Reaper has bursts of energy and would love a home with a spacious yard to run in or an active owner who enjoys daily walks, he also has a relaxed, couch-potato side. Story
In Dunlap, TN -Artie is ready for his forever home! Artie is special needs, as he is completely blind. He has done so well in his foster home. Artie is a 1 year old Australian mix who is completely blind. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and microchipped. Artie is a lively boy filled with curiosity about the world. He loves the sound of planes overhead and the rustle of the leaves in the wind and the feel of the sun and wind on his face. He is potty trained (but taken out quite often). He loves being in the house with his people and also running outside with his two Aussie friends. He is crate trained and rarely puts up a bark about going into the crate. He loves the contents of a full toy basket and will empty it to make sure he shares his attention with each toy. He is very smart and is learning commands. Artie has been blind since birth but he is so eager to find his way. You would not know he's blind as he maneuvers around the house and outside. He bumps into things occasionally, but he keeps right on going. He will follow you anywhere if you have treats. He may be able to detect light and movement of shapes. We have hopes that Artie will become a very enjoyable and loved family pet, as he is not aggressive or reactive in the least and has a soft mouth when playing with toys and loves a good pet and scratch. Artie would do well with a companion dog, preferably a dog his size or larger. He is also very capable of entertaining himself with his toys and would do well as an only “child” because he loves his people and wants to be wherever they are. He needs a fenced yard so he can run and play without veering off in a wrong direction. He will need continued leash training, but should do well with time and consistency. What Artie needs most is a loving human who is patient and can help guide him through the world and keep him safe and someone who will be dedicated to him and make him part of the family. He will love you and you will love him! He is ready for adventures. Check out Artie. If you would like to consider making Artie a part of your family, please fill out our adoption application at the link below. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption... There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
Meet Summer & Ghost. BONDED PAIR! Many of the best things in life come in pairs, much like peanut butter and jelly. My brother, Ghost, and I are no different - we're best together. Love the outdoors? I'm your gal! I'm a playful, curious, and very loving female Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. When I'm not giving kisses, you can find me playing with my bestie and other doggy friends. I'm energetic, which is totally normal for my age, and would do best in an active home. Due to my energy level, I really need to play with other dogs around my size. Summer is around 30lbs and is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. A fenced yard is necessary to adopt her. (NOTE: Summer must have a privacy fence or a type of fencing she cannot scale. If she can get her feet in holes, she may be tempted to climb out). No underground fences. Applications can be submitted at wetnosesanimalrescue.org

Story
Leo is an silly playful male Border Collie mix that was born in April 2017. He loves to run, go on car rides and cuddle. He enjoys being with people and is a good fit for older children. Leo is already housebroken and would enjoy having a fenced in backyard. A privacy fence would be best. Leo prefers the company of big dogs over little ones. If you own another dog, we can do a meet and greet to see if they are compatible. Kitties, unfortunately, are not a good fit. Due to a genetic skin disorder, Leo must take medication every other day. For a wonderful dog like Leo, it is a small price to pay. Leo is anxious to have a family of his own. Will that be you?To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
