Story
Chloe is a person-only dog who doesn't do well with other pets or children. (We now have three grandchildren.) She's not aggressive, she's just very protecive of "her" people. We rescued her from a woman whose life situation had changed to where she couldn't care for her. We had another dog at that time and Chloe did not like that, but it did work. During covid, Chloe went to live with our mother who was lonely. They both enjoyed the relationship immensly for three years. She's a perfect companion for an older person. Our mother passed away and so we took Chloe back a year ago. We had been enjoying traveling without a pet to care for anymore, as our other sweet dog had passed of old age. Now with grandkids, and our desire to have more freedom to travel, we're hoping that Chloe can be a perfect companion for someone else at this time. We will be happy to update vaccines or take care of anything else prior to adoption. We believe she is about 8, but acts much younger.

Story
Name: Bjorn (Be-yorn) Age: 1 year 5 months Gender: Male Breed: Mini Aussie Weight: 37 lbs Located: Acworth GA * Neutered Vaccinated * Crate potty trained * Trained to do multiple tricks * Bonds quickly with older kids (9-12) Bjorn is from a very loved home so he will come with treats, toys, lifevest, crate, clothes etc. He is from an only dog (and cat) household so he gets lonely and needs a friend to play with or a job to do! (we are frequent dog park visitors to make up) Bjorn loves balls, tug, and swimming! He makes a great off-leash hiking buddy, swimming partner, and is a huge cuddle bug! Hes great with other dogs and lives to run and play! Owners note: We adore Bjorn so so much. he is the goofiest and sweetest little guy we have met. My husbands allergies and our lack of space have added to the decision to rehome. We can only hope he can go to a loving family that can give him everything that he deserves

Story
Huxlee is a well mannered 45 lbs mix breed 1 year old boy. He would do best in a home with children over 12 and no other dogs. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Lois! /(^.^)\ Hello there, my name is Lois and I am an adorable Australian Shepherd Mix. I am brindle and white with cute floppy ears. I am roughly 8.5 months old and weigh about 22 pounds. I am cautious and shy, but I will warm up if you spend some time with me. I get along fantastically with all of my doggie friends, and would do well in a home with a canine buddy. While I may need some guidance with leash manners and potty training, I am willing to learn. With patience and love, I can be a devoted and well-mannered member of your family. Currently, I am in a foster home and available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting Lois, please fill out an application online, once approved, we will contact the foster so you can meet me or call the Humane Society at 770-887-6480 for more information. Our adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 and Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of cuteness and sweetness, Lois /(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"

Story
Loki is the most affectionate dog I’ve seen in my life, wherever you go he will follow. I got him from an unknown breeder in cartersville but because housing issues I now have to give him away and I'm heartbroken but know he will be loved from the right person. He’s a little jumping bean with a wiggle butt that goes crazy. He loves a good chase so fetch is his favorite, he’s also a master at tug of war. He’s the prettiest dog I’ve come across in my life to me, his eyes a beautiful blue with hazel mixed in sometimes. His double coat makes him an amazing cuddle. He’s honestly the best dog I will ever have in my life and I just hope and pray someone can experience his love too.

Story
Say hello to the adorable little boy we are calling Rags. Rags arrived at the shelter on 10/26 as a lost pup and so far has not been reclaimed. He is a very energetic fellow but also attentive and eager to please. He will sit and lay down when asked but still needs to work on stay and his leash manners. He loves toys and likes to play ball. Rags is about 9 months old and weighs just 24 pounds. Rags did test positive for ringworm and has been treated for that and is all clear now. He is current on vaccines, tested negative for heart worms. He will be neutered and micro-chipped upon adoption. You will find him waiting in run 400 and his ID# is 5897. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
