Story
Meet Sonny! He is such a handsome boy. Sonny is a two-year, eight-month-old Aussie Shepherd. He is a handsome boy who loves some belly rubs and gives you a paw when he hasn’t been done getting a pet (see picture)! Unfortunately, he’s not great around children or smaller dogs. He has exhibited dominance and aggression, making him a less-than-perfect candidate for our household with an eight-year-old daughter and other kids around. His resource-guarding behavior is the reason he is listed as having special needs. He needs a home where he can be the only dog in an adult household. Sonny needs to be adopted by an experienced dog owner who would be able to identify any signs of potential aggression and take him to training to get rid of that aggression. CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Independent, Loves kisses With a heavy heart, we’ve decided it would be best if he were to find an environment that gives him a better chance at success and happiness with an experienced dog owner. To meet Sonny, email his foster dad, Joseph, at joseph.e.moser@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing, and ARRF is not familiar with this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of his bio. Thank you.

Read this pup’s bio on our website: https://amazingdogsrescue.org/dogs/. If the dog is not visible on our website, they are no longer available. You can meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Check our events calendar to see the upcoming event dates: https://amazingdogsrescue.org/events All our rescue doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for puppies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (partially tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work of saving 1000+ doggies per year. Read more about why we charge adoption fees here: https://amazingdogsrescue.org/adopt/ If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via call or text. Story
Meet Fifi Meet Fifi, an adorable Shepherd mix puppy saved from a high-kill shelter with her mom and six siblings. Her coloring is fawn and brown, and her birthday is October 1, 2024. Fifi is a true people-lover who thrives on affection and will happily curl up in your lap for snuggles. She’s healthy, friendly, and great with dogs, kids, and even cats, making her the perfect addition to any family. Fifi's coat features some of the most stunning colors we've ever seen—she’s a real showstopper! Expected to grow to about 55-60 lbs., Fifi is ready to bring love and joy to her forever home. All ARRF adoptees will have up-to-date shots, be microchipped, and will have been spayed/neutered when they become adoptable. Puppies should be good with gentle children, dogs, and cats. Although Fifi's housetraining is in progress, all puppies will need to be housetrained. Puppies need attention, so prospective adopters should have someone either at home during the day or be able to make frequent visits during the day. ARRF strongly encourages puppy adopters to enroll in positive reinforcement classes as early as possible. It will make a tremendous difference in your mutual appreciation and enjoyment of each other. Fifi will be available for adoption starting November 26th—don’t miss out on this beautiful pup! Call, text, or email her foster mom, Dana: (760) 519.-5532 or jtnardi1@msn.com.

Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available.
