Shows no aggression and enjoys being petted when it was done slowly. Displays her affection, following people when she gets used to them. * Interaction with Dogs: Is a bit shy when she encounters other dogs but is doing well without big reaction. * Interaction with Cats: It is unclear since she has not met other cat somewhere near. * Separation Anxiety: Has been much improved with training. Constant training will reduce more her separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Prefers to go outdoor for potty but uses pee pads well when she can not go out. * Hygiene: Cooperates well with bathing, brushing and toenail trimming. * Walks: Is professional without pulling on the leash. Meet Doodle! Doodle is a 7-year-old mini-Australian shepherd. He is a super smart, funny and loving dog but he is not for the first-time dog owner. True to his breed, he has a very high herding instinct and is protective of his home. He is also very obedient, knows all his commands, is potty-trained, crate trained, and absolutely can't get enough attention from his person. He requires a lot of exercise (just a walk isn't enough), so he'll need an active owner who will run with him, hike with him, and take him on adventures. Doodle would do great in agility or herding activities. He can be reactive with larger dogs so we are looking for a home without a resident dog over 20 lbs. but he does get along well with small dogs and cats (although he does like to herd them when he gets excited). In his foster home, Doodle lives with four other dogs and two cats. He does really well with the established boundaries in his foster home and flourishes when he knows the rules and what's expected of him. In addition to regular exercise, his foster mom gives him puzzles, interactive toys and lick mats that help to keep him mentally stimulated. He is a great guard dog and very protective so he can be reactive to visitors in his home. Doodle is also selective with who he likes and tends to favor women over men so introductions to new people must be done slowly and with care. Doodle is a medium size dog, weighing in at 35 lbs., is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is an amazing guy and we know his perfect home is out there. Doodle is looking for a quite home with no children where he would prefer to be the only dog. He needs an owner who has owned a herding breed before and is up for the challenge of owning a high energy, intelligent dog. Is it you?

Picasso is a super sweet 3-year-old pure tricolor Australian Shepard who we rescued 2 years ago. He is trained in all basic commands and loves to chase/herd balls and play tug-o-war. He is very protective of my youngest daughter, which has led to the need to re-home him after biting incidents: a gardener who entered the yard unannounced and got too close to my daughter (animal control ruled dog not at fault), myself, when I raised my voice to circumvent my youngest from breaking a mirror, and her older sister when she acted threatening to her. He went to aggression training at South Bay K-9 to learn additional commands and subdue his aggression, but obviously his innate feelings to protect my youngest daughter persists. For example, he vocalizes when we hug and he tries to block my entrance to her room. If it were me alone, I would keep him, but, as much as it is heart wrenching, he would do best with a single dominant adult.
