Meet Mosey Fields, a very special puppy who is just under one year old. Mosey has a neurological condition, most likely Cerebral Hypoplasia, which makes him a special-needs dog. Despite his challenges, Mosey is a joyful and big-hearted pup. We recently put him in a jacuzzi with a swim vest, and he learned a lot about connecting his body with his brain. Initially, Mosey used to squirm on the floor like a reptile, but now he walks and romps around without a harness. Although he still does well with a harness for stability, he can now walk by himself in a large carpeted bedroom area. Mosey has made great progress - he has learned to track, make eye contact, jump on and off the couch, and loves to cuddle. He has also been playful around other dogs and adores people. This little fighter will benefit from a wheelchair and will thrive in a loving home. Consider making him a part of your family, and he will return the love and continue to grow into the best version of himself. She has had some professional basic training. She is ecollar, muzzle, and prong collar trained. All these tools come with her to continue her push-button training. She knows sit, down, heel, leave it, wait, out, come, no, and crates on command. She also waits for the release command to eat. The guardian breeds in her makes her an amazing watch dog. She’s well behaved, and obedient. She loves to hike in the hills, and on the trail she has excellent off-leash recall. She also knows wait (and will stop and wait for you to catch up). She knows out (and will get out of the bushes in case of snakes). She’s great in the car for long periods on road trips, and the perfect camping/exploring partner. Lola loves fetch, as well as playing with her toys, although tug is her very favorite type of play (if you’re strong enough). Lola was attacked by an off leash dog, so she has leash reactivity/fear of unknown dogs. She is working hard to overcome her fears, and needs an experienced adopter to continue her training back to neutral/non-reactivity. Iza was a dog we agreed to take in over a year ago in Armenia that had been wasting away at the shelter overloaded with dogs but the CDC had shut down travel, and we finally got approval to bring her over. She’s approx 6 years old and great with dogs and despite her past, an absolute sweetheart with people. Iza, like many strays in Armenia, was emaciated and neglected. There are a lot of people in the world that don’t find value in a dog’s life as she was deliberately hit by a car and left for dead. The accident didn’t take away her will to live, although it took away her vision. Thankfully good people exist, and we appreciate our good friend, Susanna, who took her in and got her vetted. She is 100% blind and she'll need a home that will help her learn where all the furniture is located so she can find her favorite spot. She is very dog-friendly and is a very low-maintenance dog as her favorite things to do are sunbathe, going on walks, and receive belly rubs. Meet Brodie! This boy is a very very special GreenDog. Brodie was seen being attacked as a puppy by a coyote and then taken to the Riverside Shelter. Due to California laws, Brodie would have to be quarantined for 6 months before being available for adoption and the shelter just didn’t have the space to board him that long, so in lieu of being euthanized, Riverside Shelter reached out to us and we took Brodie in. Brodie is off his quarantine now and he is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped. There is one special requirement for a forever home for Brodie…his mom and dad MUST have a pool…or maybe an adopter who surfs a lot or kayaks? Of the 1000+ dogs that have come through the GreenDog Ranch, I’ve never known one to be part fish, and Brodie is certainly that. He absolutely loves to swim and will literally tread deep water playing with a toy for hours. Brodie gets along great with other dogs big and small and even loves our free range chickens. He’s a gentle soul and loves to hug. Brodie is almost a year old now and is ready to find his forever someone. Brodie is approximately 50 lbs of great fun and amusement...
