Meet Doodle! Doodle is a 7-year-old mini-Australian shepherd. He is a super smart, funny and loving dog but he is not for the first-time dog owner. True to his breed, he has a very high herding instinct and is protective of his home. He is also very obedient, knows all his commands, is potty-trained, crate trained, and absolutely can't get enough attention from his person. He requires a lot of exercise (just a walk isn't enough), so he'll need an active owner who will run with him, hike with him, and take him on adventures. Doodle would do great in agility or herding activities. He can be reactive with larger dogs so we are looking for a home without a resident dog over 20 lbs. but he does get along well with small dogs and cats (although he does like to herd them when he gets excited). In his foster home, Doodle lives with four other dogs and two cats. He does really well with the established boundaries in his foster home and flourishes when he knows the rules and what's expected of him. In addition to regular exercise, his foster mom gives him puzzles, interactive toys and lick mats that help to keep him mentally stimulated. He is a great guard dog and very protective so he can be reactive to visitors in his home. Doodle is also selective with who he likes and tends to favor women over men so introductions to new people must be done slowly and with care. Doodle is a medium size dog, weighing in at 35 lbs., is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is an amazing guy and we know his perfect home is out there. Doodle is looking for a quite home with no children where he would prefer to be the only dog. He needs an owner who has owned a herding breed before and is up for the challenge of owning a high energy, intelligent dog. Is it you?

We urgently rescued them from the shelter, which often posts euthanasia lists due to the overwhelming number of animals needing protection. * Interaction with People: Not used to strangers yet and barks at people visitors at home and people he meets on walks. Wags his tail and is endlessly affectionate with people he knows! Accepts pets. * Interaction with Dogs: Plays energetically with friends and likes dogs that match his energy level. Wants to hop right in on the fun and runs around to play! * Interaction with Cats: Barks at and is wary of cats during walks. * Separation Anxiety: Does well completely alone for two hours! With his sibling, Jella, he plays and doesn’t notice the time passing by. * Potty Training: Uses potty pads well, infrequently making accidents. * Hygiene: Handles baths well. If you hold him, he waits patiently as he gets his nails trimmed. * Walking: Has great walking manners and doesn’t pull on the leash. * Car Sickness: Doesn’t like the car and is very scared, but doesn’t have any car sickness. Is undergoing training to get desensitized. 💌Other Information💌 * Sometimes pees when he gets too excited * Must be fed separately because he is greedy for food. He also tends to eat too quickly. * Sometimes nips due to guarding aggression. This is mostly because of treats. He growls or lightly nips if you touch him when he is eating a treat. * Whines in his kennel when it is time for food. * Barks when there’s noise outside the home. Also barks when there are big dogs outside the fence. Seems to bark due to fear or anxiety. * Has mastered ‘sit,’ ‘paw,’ ‘high five,’ and ‘V’! Meet Gucci❤️ Gucci was rescued from a puppy mill while pregnant on a rainy day. She bravely raised her six babies well. After taking care of her babies, she was so scared that she needed socialization training. So she got training at a professional training school, and slowly opens up to people. All her six babies were adopted in Korea, the U.S., and Canada. Now it's her turn to meet her forever family!! She keeps getting better little by little, but she's still timid. We're waiting for a family who can wait for her and show her this beautiful life.

Displays her affection, following people when she gets used to them. * Interaction with Dogs: Is a bit shy when she encounters other dogs but is doing well without big reaction. * Interaction with Cats: It is unclear since she has not met other cat somewhere near. * Separation Anxiety: Has been much improved with training. Constant training will reduce more her separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Prefers to go outdoor for potty but uses pee pads well when she can not go out. * Hygiene: Cooperates well with bathing, brushing and toenail trimming. * Walks: Is professional without pulling on the leash. Care should be given to prevent her from running away and hiding when she feels fear. * Car Sickness: Pants a little when in the car for extended periods, but does not vomit. 💌 Special Notes💌 * Is still very timid and is undergoing desensitization training to become more comfortable around people.
