Story
Lodi is a four-year-old blue merle coat Aussiedor (Australian Shepard and Labrador) that we bought from a breeder in 2021. He is an incredibly intelligent dog and loving animal to his human family. Lodi is a nervous dog, who requires a slow and limited engagement with new people. He has received behavioral training (heel, sit, stay, etc.) and is very obedient when no stimuli around to distract him. He loves open spaces where he can play endless games of fetch. Please note that Lodi has bitten our other family dog and therefore we need to rehome him as we do not believe he can live with any other animals. He has also shown aggression toward other dogs in general and people who are strangers (note he has never bitten a person but may be capable). The ideal owner is someone who has a large open space for him to exercise and play with. He is incredibility loyal and affectionate to people he is familiar with, but his owner must be able to control his impulses around strangers

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Hazel! Hazel is a sweet 10-year-old Australian Shepherd-Golden Retriever mix looking for a calm, loving home for her golden years. Her family has expanded over the years, and now includes twin 4-year-olds and a 2-year-old. Hazel has struggled to adjust to the acitivity, noise, and handling that kids have brought to the home. Her family has made the difficult decision to look for a calmer home where Hazel can thrive again, whether it's an adults-only home, or a family with children old enough to understand the importance of gentle interaction. Hazel enjoys lounging around the house, playing with the other dog in the home, and nibbling on her toys. She's well-behaved, house-trained, spayed, and in good health. Hazel gets along great with her dog sibling and does well at doggie daycare. Hazel loves outdoor activities like hiking, going for walks around the neighborhood, and playing fetch. Hazel is especially fond of the water – whether it’s swimming, fetching balls from the lake, or just enjoying the rain or snow, she’s in her element. Hazel is looking for a patient, loving adopter who is willing to earn her trust. Once you do, Hazel will be your best friend and a wonderful companion. She will happily snuggle close. If you think you can offer Hazel the calm, loving home she deserves, please text Katie at (310)254-7541 more information or to schedule a meeting. *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Australian Shepherd mix – Red Merle & White Male 11 weeks 12 pounds At Rancho Coastal, puppies become available for adoption starting at 8 weeks of age. Many of these puppies have spent time in loving foster homes, with some even being bottle-fed during their earliest days. As they grow into adulthood, puppies require ongoing training, socialization, and enrichment to thrive. Adopting a puppy is a significant commitment, and we encourage potential adopters to carefully consider their schedules, time spent away from home, and the ages and needs of all family members before making this life-changing decision. Most puppies arrive at the shelter as strays, so their histories are often unknown. Enrolling in a puppy class is highly recommended for all puppies in our adoption program to build a strong foundation for good behavior and bonding. To support this, adopters who complete a minimum 4-week introductory training course with a science-based dog trainer are eligible for a $50 rebate on the adoption fee." An adoption survey and instructions can be found on our website. Adoption Hours: Wednesday-Monday; 11 AM to 4 PM (Adoptions until 3:30 pm) Address: 389 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024

Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available. We do require an application if you are interested in adoption.  If you are interested in potentially adopting please fill out an application at http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt. Story
Scout is a beautiful 8-month-old female puppy! We believe she may be a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd mix given her stunning characteristics.  She is incredibly sweet and friendly to all that she meets! She would do best in an active household as she may be a mix of two strong working breeds. She will need someone who can properly enrich her genetics along with providing structure, routine, and basic obedience to help her grow out of puppyhood. Scout walks beautifully on a loose leash with minimal pulling and has been responding extremely well and quick to provided basic obedience and structure. She is wicked smart, fluffy, and sweet!  She can best be described as dog social, but also neutral and tolerant. She's happy to wiggle around with some friends and is also totally chill with other dogs who are still learning their manners. As she is likely a herding breed, she would probably do best in a home with other medium to large dogs and kids 13+, although she has met small dogs and cats and has done well with them. Scout is an eligible dog through our partnership with Pets for Patriots, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping current or former US military members find their best friend. If you're interested in applying, please head over to pfp.care/adopt to learn more! ##2319968##

Story
Meet Steffie, an adorable Ice Age pup with the perfect mix of Jack Russell Terrier and Australian Shepherd, expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. This sweet girl is a cuddle bug who loves to be close&#194&#151if she's not snuggled up with her humans, she's sticking right by her doggy friends. She's a little shy when meeting new people or pups, but she warms up quickly and is incredibly friendly. She's a quiet pup who rarely barks and is quick to learn. Steffie is doing well with house training and learning the ropes of home life. With her loving nature and gentle personality, she's ready to find a forever family that will shower her with love&#194&#151and plenty of snuggles! Steffie is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Steffie, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. We are here to help you find a furry companion. You will find our quick and easy adoption application at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. Please email us at I doginfo@labsandmore.org if you need assistance. Thank you for looking to a rescue group to fulfill your dream of adding a new dog to your life!
