River a 12 year old Aussie whose mom just passed away and he needs a new home:(. He is neutered, in good health, and an incredibly sweet guy. He has lived with both cats and dogs peacefully and done great with visitors (both dog and human) that come to the house. He's used to living with one elderly person and though he's been around little kids without incident, the ideal home would not have small children. He has the typical herding dog instinct where he will chase/nip if there's a lot of running/yelling/play fighting etc inside the house, though he's never bitten anyone. He walks well on leash and is happy with one mellow 30 min walk each day, otherwise he just loafs. He's very tolerant, loves car rides, eats well, does well in public/gatherings, is house trained, and just wants to be someones sweet companion.

Roxy is an Australian Shepard Mix. I'm fostering her currently, she's 45 lbs at one year old. She was adopted from the Milpitas Shelter as a puppy. Original owner took ill and can no longer care for her. Roxy needs a forever home with a yard (she uses a doggie door for indoor/outdoor living). Loves to be around people, other dogs and friendly with cats too. Roxy is full of energy. I have two senior dogs and unfortunately can't keep her.

Kenji is one of our parvo survivors from Fresno Humane. DOB is 9/11/23 and best breed guess is Aussie/Shep/Lab mix. He is a big boy at 55 lbs. He loves treats and loves to please. He has a shy submissive demeanor and needs work on his confidence. Kenji has started his leash training and is also good off leash hiking. Working on his carsickness. Housetrained and using a doggy door. We love this boy! He is a foster favorite for his good behavior. With heavy hearts, we must find a new home for our beloved Australian Shepherd, Maverick (2.5 years). Despite rescuing him 9 months ago and forming an incredible bond, our upcoming cross-country move to a city environment wouldn't be fair to this active, outdoor-loving pup. Maverick is a sweet, affectionate velcro dog who loves to howl along with his humans! DNA tested at 82% Australian Shepherd, he's great with other dogs but can be submissive around dominant ones. He is fully house-trained, neutered, and completed basic obedience training. His auto-immune condition is well-managed with Prednisone and in remission. Due to his herding instincts, Maverick needs a home without small children or cats. He's also reactive to passing bikes. The ideal home would be with an active family who enjoys hiking and can provide him plenty of space to run. He travels wonderfully in cars. Looking for experienced dog owners who understand the breed and can give Maverick the loving home he deserves.

Bella was rescued from a neglectful home and has shown so much improvement since then. She has lived with kids and a young dog that she single-handedly trained! She then moved to oregon with an older couple but it was not the right fit so she is back in the Bay Area staying with the trainer who taught her all of her commands in the first 3 years of her life. That means that the person(s) who adopt her will get the benefits of having a dog with a lot of training already! Bella is intuitive, caring and wise beyond her years. She will be with you through the good and bad and make you a stronger person for it. Due to her genetics & breed she needs lots of mental & physical exercise in order to thrive. The most ideal match for her would be a person who likes to go on walks or hikes/has a yard; she can be off leash without running away; she will stay by you and make your adventures all the more fun! Most importantly she needs routine and stability and a home that will love her forever.
