I am only seven months old, but I was kept on a chain all my life in a backyard. My previous people didn’t even give me a name. But finally, START Rescue has found me and took me on. I live with Isaac, my dog trainer, who is fabulous and works with me a lot. He taught me how to walk on a leash, how to socialize with other dogs and people. I love all of these by the way!! I am ready to be adopted by a loving family. My wishlist is the following. 1. A family who loves me and I get a lot of ears scratches and belly rubs from 2. A family who enjoys to take walks 3. I want a cozy bed to sleep on and not to be left in a backyard all by myself 4. I enjoy yummy foods and treats.

This amazing ez going girl had 24 hours to live... until we stepped in and rescued her from the euthanasia list. What a shame it would have been for this special gal to have not had the opportunity to be part of a family. Maizey just goes with the flow. Walk.. ok! Watch a movie... OK! Go for a ride...OK! Cuddle time... OK! She is a perfect work from home girl. She can be a bit timid at first when meeting new people, but warms up fast. She is around 5 years old and weighs a perfect 40 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Story

I escaped an abusive ex with them, but I unfortunately can't financially afford them Mary is Sandwich's mom, she is approximately 2½ years old and Sandwich is 5 months old. I was able to rescue them from the breeder who had them, he did horrible things to them. Then I had to flee the situation I was living in, which has, understandably, been stressful for them. They will thrive in a stable home with the right people. Although it takes some work to introduce them to new people, they are extremely affectionate. They are ready to start the day the minute they see you're awake. They are also big cuddlers. Sandwich is very high energy, but he naps hard after playing hard. Mary loves playing with Sandwich and going on walks, but she is generally pretty low energy. Her last liter was 8 puppies so her body has been through a lot. They do need to find a home ASAP, as Sandwich has started fighting with his brother. They are reactive on walks, but I live on a block with a lot of triggers.
