Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Birmingham, AL Meet Tux! He is an 6 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 38 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Tux is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around older children. No younger children or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is on 10mg of fluoxetine daily. Tux has bitten the owner’s younger daughter 3 times. He first bit her when she poked him in the eye through a baby gate. He also bit her after she tried to take something from him. The third bite incident occurred while the owner had her back turned from her daughter, but she thinks it may have involved a goldfish. He nipped the owner’s mother twice. These incidents occurred when the owner was nursing her baby on the couch and her mother sat down next to her. He also nipped the owner’s father-in-law twice. One of those incidents occurred when her father-in-law tried to take a bone out of his mouth. The other incident occurred when they were watching football and her father-in-law jumped up and screamed. He also bit a trainer at their local dog daycare. The owner is surrendering him because of his bite history. They have done behavioral training, medication, and have kept him separate from people outside of their immediate family. If you think you can provide a great home for Tux, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Birmingham, AL Meet Finn! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 42 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Finn is hostile around strangers! No kids, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Finn jumped on a kid and bit him when was playing swords with the owner’s son. Finn was trying to protect the owner’s son. The owner is surrendering him because he has become too territorial and aggressive when visitors come to their home. They have worked with several trainers, but he is still too unpredictable. He needs to go immediately! If you think you can provide a great home for Finn, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Say hello to Duke!! He is an approx 3 year old Australian Shepherd that is the sweetest love bug ever! He loves dogs, cats, people, everything! His downfall is he will clear any fence and will come when he wants to. He is trained on invisible fence, however, and is very good with that! He will not escape a fence if you are in the yard with him but he just wants to be with his people so he will escape if left alone. Duke loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with a fun furry playmate. He would love an active family that will take him on adventures and let him snuggle with them at the end of the day. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. Meet Minkie! She is only available as Foster to Adopt until she has her final round of shots and spay. Therefore only LOCAL Huntsville, AL area homes may foster to adopt. She could be pre-adopted also by an out of town family but cannot go to her new home until after her spay appointment later in December. She is a super playful little girl who is doing very well her her crate and potty training. She loves toys and attention. She is so young she will adjust to any kind of house (kids, cats, etc) if trained and introduced properly. She will probably be around 45 lbs full grown but we really don't know. Mom was supposedly an aussie and dad supposedly a husky/shepherd mix ... but again we do not know. Her entire litter was abandoned at 1 week old and they were all bottlefed by our amazing foster homes. All are well adjusted and super precious puppies. Apply for Minkie on our website!

Meet Drake! He was abandoned as a tiny baby and bottle fed since about 1 week old. He is an amazing puppy who is ready for Foster to Adopt until rigtht before Christmas when he is neutered and will be ready for final adoption. We are taking applications now for pre-adoption along with F2A if a local family (Huntsville, AL area) would like to do that. He is doing well with crate training and puppy pad training. House training is in progress but he is still only 10 weeks old! If you are interested in meeting this cutie pie or any of his siblings, please fill out an application on our website!
