URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Auburn, AL Meet River! She is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. She is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t spayed. River is fearful of strangers! She is good with other dogs! She hasn’t been tested around younger children or cats. No children, due to her reactivity! River is housebroken and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering her because they are unable to provide the time and attention that she needs, which has increased her anxiety. They are also wanting to have children in the future and are unable to afford training for her. She needs to go by 8/1! If you think you can provide a great home for River, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing River. Owner’s Contact Information: Emily at emily16marie@gmail.com.

We were on our way to shop at Target when we found a man at the entrance giving away Lola. We were concerned about the type of people this dog could've been given to, so we thought we'd take care of Lola until we found a new and caring family for her. She is the sweetest dog ever, around 4 months old. We've given her the needed vaccines and her next dose is in January. She is potty trained and very obedient. Looking for a family that can take good care of her.

Story
When we received a plea for help for Sky (and his brother Petey), we couldn't say no. His owner had started treatment for a brain tumor and was no longer physically able to care for them. Both boys were rescued several years ago and were loved fiercely; we are happy to be their safe haven until the right adopters come along. Sky is a 7-year-old male border collie mix weighing in at ~80 lbs. He knows basic commands, loves the outdoors, and is sweet as can be. He aims to please and thrives on the farm. He is just as smart as he is handsome. One of Sky's back legs is shorter than the others (possibly due to an injury he suffered as a puppy), but we think that just gives him character. We have updated his vetting and he is now neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Sky and Petey are not bonded and can (happily) be adopted separately.
