Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Huntsville, AL Meet Vigo! He is an 7 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 57 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Vigo is good around older children! No younger children, farm animals, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! Vigo bit the owner’s 8 month old child. Their nanny was watching her and they told them to not let her get close to Vigo. However, she crawled onto his bed while he was laying down and he bit her on the face. The owner is surrendering him because of his aggression towards their baby. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Vigo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Vigo. Owner’s Contact Information: Audrey at audreycsmith256@gmail.com

Story
Say hello to Duke!! He is an approx 3 year old Australian Shepherd that is the sweetest love bug ever! He loves dogs, cats, people, everything! His downfall is he will clear any fence and will come when he wants to. He is trained on invisible fence, however, and is very good with that! He will not escape a fence if you are in the yard with him but he just wants to be with his people so he will escape if left alone. Duke loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with a fun furry playmate. He would love an active family that will take him on adventures and let him snuggle with them at the end of the day. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. If you are interested in Duke please submit an application to be considered.

Story
Hi! I'm Zoomy and I'd love to be the newest member of your family! I am 8 weeks old and an adventurous little boy, that loves to play. I am working on potty training, sit, stay, and come. I am the perfect age and temperament to start training to go to dog friendly places! I love all other dogs - they are my playmates! I also love the cat I'm fostered with but mostly ignore him. I am new to crate training, but I almost never have accidents anymore and will let you know when I need to potty. I'm learning to use the doggie door, and I am picking it up quickly. There's only one thing keeping me from being the happiest and luckiest pup in the whole world - I need a home and family of my very own! Don't you want to be my FORever family? If you are interested in adopting Zoomy please fill out an application on our website. Zoomy is only available for a local adoption. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL

Story
Ralphie is a 4 year old mini Australian shepherd. He’s very energetic and loves to play fetch with anything you’ll throw! He needs lots of space to run and a family that is patient with him. He is very well potty trained and easy to teach new tricks. He does not like kennels but does well inside the house alone while we’re at work. He is leash trained with a swivel harness, but does have leash anxiety. We’re having to rehome him because of his anxiety. Although medication does help, he’s shown aggression towards small kids. Recommend he goes to a home with no small kids or small dogs. He does play well with most other dogs. He’s such a sweet and beautiful dog, he just has some anxiety that makes him unpredictable around babies.

Please contact Glenda (fairydogmother@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Harper is a one year old red merle Aussie Doodle that weighs 40 pounds.  She is friendly and quiet, with medium energy for an Aussie Doodle.  Harper is also on the smallish side.  She gets along well with other dogs and cats.  Harper loves kids and is the perfect family dog.  She is spayed, fully vaccinated, has been treated for parasites, is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventive.  Harper's tax deductible adoption fee of $800 supports the rescue and does not purchase a dog.  Application approval and adoption contract are required.November 9, 2024, 3:21 pm

Story
Pete is a four year old mini- aussie that weighs 20 pounds.  He came to another rescue as a retired breeder dog and transferred to Fairy Dogmother when space became limited there.  Pete is a happy, friendly, very sweet fellow that needs a quiet, stable home with people who have the time and patience to teach him how to be a house dog.  He gets along well with other dogs, but no cats here so that is unknown, so am going to err on the side of caution and say no cats.  I believe he would be good with kids who know  how to respectfully treat a dog.  Pete is now neutered, fully vaccinated, known to be heartworm negative and is on monthly flea and heartworm preventive.  His tax deductible adoption fee is a donation to the rescue in the amount of $600.November 10, 2024, 2:19 pm
