Little Katniss has had a rough start in life. She was found as a stray with scabies. She sat out her stray hold and her scabies quarantine and then came in to our rescue and had to be quarantined for an upper respiratory infection. She's on the mend and is now ready to start searching for her forever family. Katniss is as cute as a button. She loves to cuddle, run and play. We aren't sure her breed but she's trending to be a smaller medium sized dog. She's around 3 months old and 11.3lbs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Yozuri and her sister Yamaha were found when their foster parents were on a walk. The sisters came trotting out of the woods where they had been living in a cardboard box. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home.  Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home.  Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess.  If Yozuri sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Save a Stray pets are in foster homes.  Please complete an application at www.saveastray.org to make arrangements to meet our pets.  Out of state meet and greets are conducted via FaceTime. This pet has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is on heartworm and flea prevention and has adoption fee of $175 (local) - $500 (depending on transport destination).  Thank you for considering adding a homeless pet to your family. Story
Jake is a very handsome Australian Shepherd mix (??), around 2 years old and 45 pounds; he was found on the streets of Texas and when his owner was not found, he was brought back to Florida. Jakes take on things: I have lots of energy and love going for walks and playing, but I can also sit next to you and relax while we watch TV. I am currently working on leash walking and basic commands and I am doing awesome-if I do say myself. I love belly rubs and giving kisses to anyone that will let me. One of my favorite things to do is go for a car ride and hold my head out of the window I get a lot of attention due to my good looks. I love being brushed, playing tug of war, chasing my squeaky ball (we are working on the bring it back part) and spending time with my humans. I am house AND crate trained! I am a working dog and would do well with a larger fenced yard with someone who will play ball with me. If you meet me, you will fall in love with me!
