Story
If you're looking to add a little more love & cheer to your home, we've got the sweetest little pup for you!Meet Nila, a petite 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix with light strawberry blonde markings and big brown eyes. Brought to the Humane Society of Marathon County as a scared & skittish stray, the caring staff at HSMC recognized that Nila was not faring well at the shelter & asked us to find a foster home where this little one could decompress in a quiet, relaxing environment.Nila is enjoying the comforts of a soft bed, gentle pets, and toys of her very own. She follows her foster mom around the house (Where you go, I go.) and is learning so many new things..She has learned the commands: "Sit", "Down", and... "Hey, bring that sock back here.". She knows her name & comes right away when called. . She is doing well with potty training & thrives with a consistent routine.. She is a quiet, but observant co-pilot during car rides; often lulled to sleep by the motion.. She goes to her crate at bedtime & sleeps through the night.  [fist pump]. She will gently paw you when she is seeking those wonderful behind the ear scratches. . She will often sit back in a corner & just watch what's going on around her; taking it all in.Nila absolutely LOVES the companionship of other dogs and would benefit greatly from having another dog in her furever home to help build her confidence. You can see her light right up when she sees her new doggie friends!Nila will need her new family to be patient & understanding as she is still adjusting to life in a house & startles easily. She would also benefit from an owner who has flexibility in their schedule & is home more than away. Put in your application today to meet this little sweetheart! You can apply for Nila at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adoptName: NilaDOB: 08/26/2023Breed: Cattle Dog mixSex: FemaleWeight: 32 lbsAltered: YesAdoption: 400Good with cats: I'm unsure.Good with dogs: Yes, other dogs have helped me build confidence.Good with kids: Yes, I enjoy respectful kidsSpecial Requirements: NoneFetch Foster and Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization  ##2242792##
