MEET ROCKY, a 1-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves both humans and dogs alike! He weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where his person or people work from home, or are retired, as he loves company. He'd also thrive in a home with another dog, though it's not a necessity. Hi, Tassa is my name and if you want an all-around easy dog to get along with - I'm your girl! I love to swim, run, and play. I can already imagine all the fun things we could do together. But I am also very content to lay by your feet and just chill. Don't worry - I'll periodically give you my paw to let you know I'm there and available for cuddling. I don't need constant attention, but I'll take as much as you want to give.I can be a bit shy when we first meet but I warm up quickly and then we are best friends.I am still a young girl who is very curious and learning new things all the time. I getting pretty good at walking on a leash without pulling - and with your help, I'm sure I'll be perfect soon! And did I mention I love treats? I already know how to sit for a treat. Being food-motivated makes it easy to train me. I get along great with most dogs after we are introduced, but I can be a bit vocal with dogs that I don’t know. Once we are introduced, we're good friends. In fact, I go for walks on our La Paz Malecon every Wednesday just so I can meet new dogs and people and be a social girl. Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Meet Bear! Bear is a big handsome boy who is very affectionate and gentle :D He was rescued from High-kill shelter that runs by city by our rescue team. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs. We are in the unfortunate situation that we need to rehome our beautiful dog. Please help us find a great home for him. Cody is 5 years old, Australian retriever/Lab mix, and 75 lbs. He is a very sweet, friendly dog, and loves playing catch- a little too much! We were only supposed to foster him for a year, but our friend moved so could not take him back. We fell in love with Cody, but I am gone 14 hour days, and travel too frequently to give him the stability he deserves. Looking for someone who is retired or works from home (or part-time job), with no small children, and the time to take Cody to dog training classes for his anxiety. He is currently taking a pill with meals to help him with his overzealous love of retrieving balls/toys. He’s a very smart dog, listens and doesn’t pull when walking. Kobe is a 6-year-old Staffordshire Australian Cattle Dog mix who is fantastic with people and has a heart full of love to give. Fetch is his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily play all day, then curl up on the couch with you for a quiet evening, or maybe some belly scratches. Kobe is dog reactive on leash, and while he can do OK when one on one with familiar dogs, he easily gets overstimulated and needs close supervision. He also has a strong prey drive, and really would like a home where he can be the only animal. He can get a bit anxious if left alone for more than 4-6 hours. He's used to a hybrid work week (2 days a week home alone, with a sitter dropping in), so he’d do best with someone who has a flexible schedule or can arrange for a sitter to check in. Kobe has done nosework and agility for reactive dogs in the past and would be thrilled to continue either of these with a dedicated owner. If you're looking for an active, loving companion, Kobe could be the perfect fit!

Anya is a great pup but needs a better home. She is a sweet and loyal girl and deserves a home where she can really shine. Anya is a very lovable cattle dog mix and would be a lap dog if she could. Anya will always be by your side and would make a very good co-pilot. She runs like the wind and jumps like a deer, and I laugh every time I see her dart through the yard. She will need a space where she can stretch her legs, and smell everything there is to smell. She loves her toys, blankets, balls, and sticks and will play fetch with anything you throw. Why are we looking for a different home? My older female dog and Anya do not get along and it is just getting worse. We have worked with trainers and I have accepted that I cannot provide the level of activity that she needs, and it is clear that finding Anya a new home is the only answer left. I need to know that she will be safe, happy and loved. Hopefully you will be able to offer her the life she deserves.
