Meet Izzie, a young and vibrant soul full of life. She's not just a dog, she's a bundle of joy, energy, and intelligent. Always on her toes, Izzie loves to play and jump around. Her intense excitement is infectious. She's smart too, always eager to learn new tricks. She already knows the sit, come, wait, and go back commands. Izzie's intelligence shines through in her house-trained manners, making her a delight to have around the home, but she needs to resist the urge to lead while on a leash. She weighs 41 pounds and her strength and energy can sometimes be a bit much for other dogs, so she may do best in a home where she can be the star. She loves to play with dogs and is friendly but rough. She might tolerate a cat. Her playful nature makes her a great companion for active children, always ready for a game of fetch or a cuddle session. Despite her high energy, she's a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up and get cozy. But beware, her love for chewing means your shoes might be at risk! She's a bit noisy, but it's all in good fun. Izzie's enthusiasm is endless. She's NEVER TIRED and always ready for the next adventure. Her favorite activities are car rides, fetch, running, tugging, toys, walks, water, and chase. On November 11, 2018, Simon and Travis came into our world. Two precious little boys that were part of a 22 dog, court ordered seizure. Three rescues were involved, and vets were on standby, waiting for the dogs to be captured and delivered. When we arrived at the location , there were 22 numbered collars on a table , cadaver bags available. As the dogs are caught, they are crated in the closest vehicle. Once the vehicle is full it heads to the clinic. The dogs were in serious condition. Purebreds, mixes, pregnant, you name it. Whatever dog(s) end up in your vehicle, you take. After being released from the vet,the boys arrived at Lucies and were put in major quarantine for a month. We noticed that they seemed to have a fondness for each other. Carrying on little conversations through the fence. They were overjoyed when we put them into a yard together. We also noticed that they were similar in a number of ways. They insist on eating and sleeping together, although they curse each other in their very own language while they do it. We have no doubt that they are brothers. In all the chaos that day, Simon and Travis were loaded into Lucies vehicles. Luck??? Please pardon the length of this post, we can’t split them up. Last month they received a clean bill of health and are ready for adoption. Please share their story, there has to be someone that needs some laughter and love in their lives. Simon and Travis are crate and leash trained. They will follow off lead. Kid and K9 friendly. Approximately 6 years old and weighing about 35-40 pounds. Dot is a very affectionate girl but is very nervous when meeting for the first time, she tends to be vocal but has not been aggressive. She is better with women than men. She is higher energy and would make a great running buddy. She also loves to play ball or with other dogs but may need a patient friend since she still has a lot of puppy in her and can play a little rough. She has not been around small dogs or cats. We believe Dot is either a kelpie or Belgian malinois mix.
