⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. Story
Max is a handsome 5-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd/Kelpie mix looking for the right person to call his own. He’s had a loving home for the past year but unfortunately finds himself in need of a new beginning. Max has put in the work — he’s spent weeks training with certified trainers and it shows. He walks beautifully on a leash and truly enjoys getting out for daily walks. One of his absolute favorite things? Water! Max loves to swim and would thrive with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He can be a little timid at first, especially around men and young children, but with patience and consistency, he warms up and becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. Because of this, Max would do best in a home without young children, ideally as the only pet, where he can feel safe and secure. Max is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his person — offering not just companionship, but a sense of comfort and protection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will be by your side for walks, adventures, and quiet evenings alike, Max may be your perfect match. Please note, for his first 4 years of his life, he was an ESA dog for a young man that had young siblings. He also has a pit bull friend that he loved. They had landlord issues and had to return him. He just needs the RIGHT family. McKinney Tx

Story
Riley is eight months old and 25 pounds. She is exceptionally playful and enjoys the company of children. She has a fondness for walks, frozen carrots, chasing bubbles, and swimming. While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Furthermore, she will sit beside you while you are doing homework or even watch television with you. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite activities! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Riley III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
This handsome boy is Reno, an Australian Kelpie mix that was brought in as a stray to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/12. He weighs 36 pounds and is about 2 years old. Reno appears to have been nicely cared for. He knows the sit and paw commands (in fact he will give you both left and right paws). He is very sociable, friendly, affectionate, wants to climb into your lap and will give kisses. He is a charming, gentle, sweet, well-behaved boy who would doubtless make someone a wonderful companion. He does walk well on a leash. He played with several toys and balls in our meet and greet room. Reno is also quite the curious boy. In the yard, he had his nose to the ground and covered pretty much the entire area. He loves treats and takes them quite politely. He sincerely hopes that his stay at the shelter will be a short one and that a new person or family with step forward and adopt or foster and stay committed to him. Reno is a delightfully sweet, loveable and charming boy. He deserves to live as an inside dog spending time with his loving family.

Story
Meet Gusty Smurf, who arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/31. He’s a 5-month-old, neutered 24-pound bundle of puppy enthusiasm and excitement. He is friendly and is OK with being petted however, that’s not until after he has worked through some of that puppy energy! His new family members we’ll need plenty of patience and commitment, allow for lots of playtime and exercise in order for them to be ready to fit in with their new person or family. but I have no doubt that all the effort and investment of time will result in devoted, loyal and cherished family members.

Story
Meet Matrix! He is an approximately 1 year old, 45lbs, male, Heeler/Cattle Dog mix. He was found stray and never reclaimed at the shelter by his owner but is now safe and sound in foster care while he waits for his forever home.   He enjoys the company of people and appears to get along with other dogs. He's working on learning how to walk on a leash, house training and basic commands. He is full of loving energy and has a silly boy attitude! If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure they get along. Matrix would do best in a calm low key home. Matrix is learning what it means to be in a loving and caring home.  He is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and heartworm negative. If you are interested in providing a loving home for Matrix, please apply online we'll be in touch.
