Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Jayla was found in January in the freezing rain covered in mud just down the street from my housing area. I brought her home, bathed her, fed her, gave her water and put her in a quiet place in the house to sleep. She slept for over 24 hours. That weekend I took her to the vet to get scanned and she had no microchip. She also got an ultrasound to see if she was pregnant, and sure enough she was; with 9 puppies. She gave birth to those 9 on 2/17/24 and still has larger than life energy. She plays fetch, goes on walks, will snuggle in a lap, on the end of a couch, or at your feet. She is crate trained, knows commands, gets along well with my 2 large dogs, is very energetic and will chase he own tail in excitement. Through SNAP she is currently up to date on vaccinations and has a microchip. Currently on heart-worm & flea prevention.

This sweet boy was pulled from death row at animal control. He and his sister didn't have much time left. Vinnie has a very kind personality, skittish at first but will warm up when he gets to know you. He is a bit frightened of being touched or held so you just have to work with his terms. He will allow affection, but on his terms and when he is in the mood. We assume he did not receive much affection or care, if at all, but he still is just waiting on his forever home to love. Vinnie does like other dogs, loves toys, seems to be crate trained a bit. Vinnie is a great boy, with so much potential in the right home, he would probably do best in a quiet home without small children and he IS a flight risk, and will need an experience adopter. We hope that you will give him a chance.

These lucky girls came to us via a good samaritan. Clara was found first, searching for food by a dumpster. Noell came in 2 days later searching for food by that same dumpster. No Mom to be found. Both girls were full of parasites, lethargic and very hungry. After being vetted they were feeling better and started to show their personalities. This sweet face was found and brought to a local kill shelter. The volunteers went into action and contacted us to see if we had room. We did! Holly is a sweet, playful, happy, fuzzy girl, who just want attention. She is a very expressive girl and will tell you how she is feeling.
