Story
Toto is a very intelligent 9-month old girl that seems to be an Australian Kelpie or Dutch Shepherd. She is very eager to please and has lots of energy. If you are looking for a companion that will love to play, go on runs, and has a very high capacity for learning, Toto is a great fit. She gets along well with children and other dogs, but is overly curious and playful in ways that may not make her a good companion for cats. She is fixed, had her shots, has no known medical concerns, and will come with her crate and food (No Charge). An ideal new home will give Toto plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and love. She is very intelligent and, as such, needs stimulation to prosper. A home may be incompatible if you are looking for a dog that will lounge around indoors with minimal interaction. Added Note: She LOVES to take naps and cuddle after a good run!

Story
Woof! My name is Riddick! My family rescued me from a local shelter. I am house trained. I like to hang out in the air condition with a plush toy and just chill. I get spurts of energy but nothing major, remember I like to chill. I am a laid back kind of dude! I'm still learning commands, but I can sit and stay with the best of them. I am extremely food motivated, I love these things called ice chips, my family and I eat them all of the time! Unfortunately, my family can no longer take care of me, the oldest family member is allergic ( they didn't know that before they rescued me). My mom said, it's not my fault because, I'm absolutely perfect! She also said, the next family will love me just as much as they do and I have nothing to worry about. Oh, I almost forgot, I love naps but I also love giving kisses and hugs when my family comes back from work and school! I also love soccer! Love, Riddick

Story
On November 11, 2018, Simon and Travis came into our world. Two precious little boys that were part of a 22 dog, court ordered seizure. Three rescues were involved, and vets were on standby, waiting for the dogs to be captured and delivered. When we arrived at the location , there were 22 numbered collars on a table , cadaver bags available. As the dogs are caught, they are crated in the closest vehicle. Once the vehicle is full it heads to the clinic. The dogs were in serious condition. Purebreds, mixes, pregnant, you name it. Whatever dog(s) end up in your vehicle, you take. After being released from the vet,the boys arrived at Lucies and were put in major quarantine for a month. We noticed that they seemed to have a fondness for each other. Carrying on little conversations through the fence. They were overjoyed when we put them into a yard together. We also noticed that they were similar in a number of ways. They insist on eating and sleeping together, although they curse each other in their very own language while they do it. We have no doubt that they are brothers. In all the chaos that day, Simon and Travis were loaded into Lucies vehicles. Luck??? Please pardon the length of this post, we can’t split them up. Last month they received a clean bill of health and are ready for adoption. Please share their story, there has to be someone that needs some laughter and love in their lives. Simon and Travis are crate and leash trained. They will follow off lead. Kid and K9 friendly. Approximately 6 years old and weighing about 35-40 pounds. Thanks y’all 🐾💙! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Story
Freckles is one of the happiest dogs at the shelter! You can’t wipe the smile off her face even if you try! Found trying to check in to her finder’s AirBnb, she was sad to know that there were no dogs allowed…but the finder was nice enough to take care of her until we had accommodations just for her at the shelter! Lucky are we to have Freckles among us, and lucky will you be if you give her a permanent address! Freckles tested positive for heartworm disease, however we are masters at showing you how easy it is to treat her--don’t let that stop you from meeting her! You can’t keep a good girl down (heartworms or not!), and we can’t say enough about how wonderfully charming (and freckled!) this engaging cattle dog is! It will be hard not to fall in love with her Freckles!
