Her playful spirit and loving nature make her an excellent addition to any family, especially those with children. Misty’s boundless energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and she has a knack for bringing smiles to everyone she meets. While Misty is generally good with kids and compatible with some dogs, she may not always get along with smaller dogs. Story
Meet Clifford. His road to POOCH was a bit meandering and bumpy. HE’s experienced a lot of different environments in his 11 short months of life. First found as a stray in California, he went into the shelter system, was pulled into a rescue, then went to an adult prison dog program where he was trained for a few months before being adopted to a home in Oregon. His adoptive home did not end up being a good fit through no fault of his own. When Cliff first came to us he was very scared and shut down. We are watching him blossom as he interacts with his doggy friend, Vivienne. The youth are slowly building trust and rapport with him. Cliff is starting to show some interest in toys. He’s got his sit, stay, and down cues dialed, and he walks well on a leash. Characteristics: Shy & nervous at first Gains confidence from his dog friends, especially Vivienne Likes to play with other dogs Does not like hugging THINGS TO BE AWARE OF Has been bounced around from a shelter to a rescue to a prison program in California to an adopted home and now to POOCH. He WILL need time to settle into a new home and know that his life isn’t going to be upended again. Could do really well with another dog in the home to continue to learn from and gain confidence from. He and Vivienne could be good buddies together if you are looking for two dogs. If you are interested in Clifford, check out his listing at Project POOCH and submit an application. Link: https://www.pooch.org/clifford DETAILS Breed: Who knows?? Sex: Neutered Male Size: 45 lbs Age: Appx. 11 months

Story
Australian Shepherd + Labrador Retriever + German Shepherd Mix 10 months old Male 35 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No I don’t want to seem like a show-off or anything, but I am pretty sweet, and friendly, and affectionate with people... unless I am on leash! Goodness do I need help with my leash manners, I can pretty grumpy meeting new people and dogs on leash. I won’t mind sharing my home with kids 10+, or other dogs. I mean, they are all so much fun to play with! But I’m not to sure how to be friends with a kitty. I could run and wrestle and romp all day! I’m a pretty happy boy with a great attitude and a curious demeanor. I’ve got the brains to excel at arithmetic, but who am I kidding…I just can’t wait for recess! I’m super smart, playful, eager to please, and longing to be loved; so a family that is committed to working on continued training, giving me lots of guidance and structure is exactly what I need. I am teenager who is rebelling a little bit and need someone to help rein it in! Why not come in and meet me? I want so badly to show off what a cute fella I am! Story
🌟Joey Tyler! 🌟 Now being fostered in Pittsburg PA ! But can be transported to the East Coast and PNW Joey is an energetic and bouncy 10 month old Blue Heeler and Aussie mix. He loves walks and hiking, chasing, digging, chewing, obedience training, and watching TV. He loves to learn, and is food motivated. Joey is fully house broken and crate trained, and he knows most basic commands - “come, sit, stay, drop it, leave it, up, down, gentle, look, and crate”. He is good on a leash and well tempered on walks, not reactive towards people or dogs passing by. So far he has proven great with most all other dogs, and loves to play with older kids (but he was too much for the little ones under 6yrs old). And he did well when meeting goats and horses, although does not have experience with them yet. Joey has never met a cat, as far as I know, and would probably like to chase it. He loves to play chase and would thrive in a home with breed experience and a way to channel his fun energy! Ready for lots of love and adventures? Georgie is waiting for his forever home! 🐾 Don't miss out on this amazing boy! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Tucker is the sweetest boy in the world. Luckily, he’s on the market- looking for forever love. He has the softest coat, the dreamiest eyes and an affinity for making his humans laugh. We believe that Tucker is an Australian Shepherd, Lab mix. He has the swooshy tail and soft coat of an Aussie, with slightly shorter fur and a silly personality that makes us lean toward “Lab mix.” We estimate his age to be around 3 years old, and he weighs in around 50 pounds. Tucker is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Fall in love with Tucker here: https://youtu.be/2jgb3I5yMcQ?si=8tfHlt52aYxjiIxn Tucker has been fostered in a home with other dogs, and foster parents that love him deeply. Through their care, and their notes, we know that he’s great with men, women, and other dogs. He likes to snuggle with his foster parents, gives gentle licks, and they report that he’s potty-trained, crate-trained and good in the car. Tucker’s foster mom says that she loves him because “he’s funny, he’s silly.” He likes belly rubs and chest scratches, he has a sweet little smile and loves to do goofy things to make his humans laugh. He’ll hide behind the curtain, zoom around the backyard, or make a funny face. He’s very, very affectionate with his humans, but not overly pushy about it. With other dogs, Tucker is just as affectionate. You can find Tucker curled up on the couch in a snuggle with his foster siblings more often than not. Tucker shares toys well with his foster siblings, and likes to play chase with them. When he meets a new dog, he can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up very quickly and will initiate play. He’s done well with dogs as small as thirty pounds, and lives with puppies. We think Tucker would do best in a home with other dogs to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Tucker was cat-tested, and we believe him to be cat-tolerant. He could live with dog-savvy kitties. Tucker loves his toys too, especially squeaky toys. He loves treats, and takes them gently. His kindly asks that you stock up on jerky in anticipation of his arrival. Tucker is ready to be your best friend (and your dog’s best friend!) Tucker could live with other dogs, and/or dog-savvy kitties. He’s a perfect match for any animal-lover looking to be adored. We are willing to test Tucker with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity.
