Story
Arya is an energetic, playful, snuggle bug. She is four years old & we’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old. This is absolutely the toughest decision we’ve ever made, but she has not adjusted well to our infant & needs a home ASAP. Arya loves to go for runs, walks, bike rides, hikes, & car rides. She is well-trained. She is fully house trained, leash trained, & crate trained. She loves to snuggle & give kisses but needs someone that can keep up with her love to play. She’s such a happy dog & will make an incredible companion. She is a high energy breed, so she would be best suited for someone who is active or has a large fenced in yard for her to play. She loves to play tug-of-war, keep away, & fetch. She's very intelligent & loves to practice her training and puzzles! Although Arya's not comfortable with young children, she loves new people & is perfect for anyone looking for a one pet household! Arya would do well with middle to high school aged children.

Story
Meet Jasper - a 1.5-year-old mix rescued from a high kill shelter. He is a friendly guy about 45lbs, neutered, and up to date on shots. He was heartworm positive but is almost finished with treatment and doing very well. He’s house trained and learning basic commands. Jasper is thriving in a social environment and would love a home with a dog sibling or friends. He is pretty chill and would also do well as a single person’s best buddy. Jasper is smart and treat motivated. As a former stray, he can compete for food and treats, so should be fed separately to feel safe. The agile Jasper can jump six foot fences. When he’s happy in his own yard, he will stay put unless he hears something interesting. But, his new family should plan the yard accordingly or rely on leashed walks. Jasper is usually quiet but can howl mournfully if left alone. He would do well with a routine and learning to trust that his people will be back. Story
(DOB 03/08/2024)  Meet Quinn: The Shy Guy on His Way to Shine! Introducing Quinn, the young pup with a heart of gold and a spirit that’s ready to bloom! Recently welcomed into our program, Quinn came to us as a shy and quiet soul, but we’re thrilled to see him quickly discovering his true self. With each passing day, he’s transforming into a fun, outgoing, and playful dog, full of life and energy ... and he loves to roll over for belly rubs.  Quinn absolutely adores playing with his brother, and you can often hear his playful chatter—he's known for “talking smack” during their spirited games. Tug-of-war is a favorite pastime for Quinn; there’s nothing quite like a good tug session to bring out his joyful nature. His love for toys keeps him entertained and engaged as he explores his newfound confidence. As a food-motivated pup, Quinn is a quick learner, making training sessions a delightful experience for everyone involved. He thrives on routine, which helps him continue to grow and adapt in his new environment. While he’s still mastering leash manners, his smaller size makes him easy to manage, and he’s showing promising progress. Quinn would do best in a home with slightly older children who can respect his gentle nature and help him continue to come out of his shell. Having another dog around would also be a wonderful boost for his confidence, guiding him as he navigates his new world. This sweet boy is on a journey of transformation, and with love and patience, Quinn is sure to make a delightful companion. He’s ready to find a forever family that will support him as he discovers the joy of life outside his shell. If you’re looking for a pup with a bright future and an endearing personality, Quinn could be the perfect match for you! As part of Quinn’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Quinn, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2182629##
