Story
Pepper is a 2 year old, 39 lb female that is one of the best adult dogs we’ve had in our rescue. She was picked up by animal control in the south Texas area with her puppies. No rescuers wanted all black puppies and a medium sized momma dog. The shelter was about to euthanize her when we stepped up for all of them. The foster listed all of this for Pepper: - Walks amazing on a leash - Sits on command - Very smart, easily trainable - House broken - Very friendly to everyone she meets - Loves other dogs - Super Sweet - Quiet in a crate through the night - Rides great in a car - Not a chewer or destructive, very relaxed inside and when left alone - Loves treats - Very Gentle - Does not jump - Very attention motivated - Aims to please her people - Couch dog, very chill - Would be great for children - Perfect girl Pepper is fully vetted – Spayed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormer, microchipped and will receive a certificate of health from a vet giving her a clean bill of health prior to receiving her. Story
Bear is a sweet, energetic dog with Heterochromia (one blue eye) who loves to be around people who show him love. He was picked up as a stray in Georgia, spent some time in NYC, and is now being fostered in CT where he is THRIVING. He's able to run around and explore the outdoors, his two favorite hobbies. In a matter of a few days, Bear has become a lot more comfortable with the new surroundings and really started to show his affectionate side. He absolutely loves to play and loves to cuddle. Bear is housebroken and crate trained. Currently he has a crate inside his playpen, but chooses to sleep/hang out in the playpen with no issues - he sleeps through the night and relaxes (after a bit of whining) during the day. He’s very smart and food-motivated and responds very well to daily training. Bear has not been aggressive around his food and is the gentlest treat-taker you've ever seen. Bear loves to go for car rides! Personally, I like having him in the backseat with his seatbelt on, he prefers to be a passenger.  Bear walks best with his harness and benefits from continued leash training. He is an energetic, athletic, strong dog and would do great with people who enjoy outdoor activies as well. Personality & Characteristics: Energetic, Athletic, Smart, Strong, AffectionateMy foster dog is good with: Dogs, KidsMy foster dog is: Crate trained, House trained, Low ShedEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 7Barker or Quiet?: Chatty when he needs to go to the bathroom or when he wants to play.
