Story
Say hello to Toby (b. 8/2015) an Australian Kelpie x Belgian Shepherd mix, who is looking for his FURever home! This shy guy is a complete ladies' man and does better around women more so than men. Toby requires a slow introduction to new people as he gets very shy. He would shine brightest in a home where he can be the center of attention so no kids or other pets, please. Once Toby gets to know you he is the biggest cuddler there is and just wants to love on his human. So ladies' who is ready for their night in shining fur? Appy to adopt Toby today! The suggested adoption donation for Toby is $265. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Adoptions for Toby are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page.   ##1489993##

Story
Mila is a beautiful, 10 1/2 yr old, tan & white cattle dog mix looking for her forever home. She had some bad luck with her last adoption from us.  We got a call from a shelter in Wisconsin that she was found tied to a pole. A wonderful volunteer from that shelter flew her to Iowa in his personal plane where one of our dedicated volunteers met him to pick her up and bring her back home.  She is playful and loves people of all kinds. Mila walks well on a leash, loves to play fetch and does a good job of keeping herself occupied. She's a sweet, fun girl and would love to live out the rest of her life with someone who loves her. Mila cannot be around other dogs so she needs to be the only pet in the home. Can you give Mila the life she so deserves.  For more information, email us at tchsPapillion@gmail.com or visit https://townandcountryhumanesociety.org/adopt The adoption fee is $200 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##1586145##

Story
Danni is a 3 yr, 9mth old Cattle dog mix. She is very sweet and loves loves loves to play fetch. She could actually play it all day if you wanted too. Danni had some past resource guarding tendencies so should not go to a home with smaller kids and would also like to be the only animal in the house! She knows how to sit and wait. She can be a bit shy and anxious at first but once she trust you she will love you forever! Come out to see if Danni will do her spin excited dance for you! The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an application.   After you have submitted an application and have been approved, we will setup a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. Applications are reviewed in order of receipt.  If everything goes well during the meet and greet, you can take the puppy home the same day.   Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission. ##950059##
