Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Foxy is a very sweet dog who will thrive in the right home. She is well behaved in the house and is good about staying off furniture/doesn’t chew things that aren’t hers. She loves to hang out and watch tv but loves to walk and play fetch. She is 9 years old, 30 lbs and very healthy. She sheds some but she loves to be brushed. She does not do well with other animals or small children. She’s currently staying with my parents who have another dog so we are looking into other options. We love her very much and would be willing to bring her near or far for the right home.

Story
Say hello to Mutt Damon (AKA Sylvester)! This sweet boy is an Australian Cattle Dog mix and approximately 4 years old. At 50 pounds, he’s a medium sized boy who will miss no opportunity to be a lap dog! There are very few things that Mutt Damon hates aside from watching you play Mario Kart and his crate! He can be coaxed into his crate with treats but doesn’t enjoy staying for very long. Since being in rescue, he’s proven to be a very good boy who does well outside of the crate at night and when home alone. He’s been known to bark occasionally when his people leave or come home and prefers to see them throughout the day. For this reason, Mutt Damon may not be a candidate for shared walls. Mutt Damon is the perfect hiking buddy and is always ready for adventure! He requires a medium level of activity and enjoys long walks each day. A fenced yard would be ideal to help burn off extra energy but this is not a requirement. Mutt Damon hasn’t had long interactions with other dogs yet but he is very eager to make furry friends on walks. He is careful and respectful of their boundaries when they meet. For this reason, it’s likely he would do well in a home with other dogs. He’s not yet met a cat and we aren’t sure how he’d react. A cat meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption. As far as kids go, we aren’t sure how he would react. When he gets excited, he has a tendency to be a bit jumpy and mouthy. For this reason, young children may not be ideal for Mutt Damon.Mutt Damon’s ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and a consistent home to hang out in, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for. If you’re interested in learning more about Teddy and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes his family will be lucky they did.https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Meet Milo! This 5 year old, 40 pound, Miniature Australian Shepherd is ready to meet his forever family! This spunky boy is looking for someone who can be his best friend while accommodating his high energy needs.Due to Milo’s breed, he likes to have a job to focus on each day. Sometimes, he thinks his job is to manage the people around him. This can manifest in being nitpicky around children and he’ll want to correct their behavior and can become frustrated when this doesn’t go his way. For this reason, he should go to a home with kids 13 years and older. Aside from these behaviors, Milo loves being around people and receiving all the love and attention he can get! Milo was crate trained as a puppy but it’s not his favorite spot to be. He prefers to free roam the house and does very well. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings but has anxiety that’s well managed by daily medication. It’s important that Milo’s forever family will be one that’s dedicated to managing his anxiety long-term.Milo does great with other dogs but prefers them to be more submissive than him in size and personality. He likes to be the boss! He’d likely do well with another dog in the home given the right dynamics are in place. We aren’t sure how he’d do around cats long-term. He’s had short interactions with them and is largely disinterested. This smart boy enjoys a moderate to high activity level to stimulate him each day. For this reason, he would like a home that can give him a couple walks a day with additional playtime in between. He does well with a tie-out so a fenced yard is not required.Milo’s ready to meet his forever family! With lots of love and activity, he will be the ultimate best friend anyone could ask for.
