Story
Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. For information about adding this adorable girl to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
Meet Teddy, a 2-year-old Kelpie mix who’s ready to start his next chapter! His story? It’s been a rollercoaster. Teddy was heartlessly thrown out by his former family, but a kind-hearted college student stepped in to give him a safe spot. When they tried to return him, his old family coldly turned him away, saying they didn’t want him back. The student tried their best, but with a strict landlord threatening eviction, they had no choice but to bring Teddy to Famous Fido Rescue. Now Teddy’s looking for someone who’s down to match his vibe – he’s a smart, active dude who’s all about those daily walks and playtime sessions. He’s got tons of potential and just needs someone to show him what being part of a real family feels like. If you’re up for a loyal, loving sidekick who’ll stick by you through thick and thin, Teddy might be your guy!

These pups are in South Elgin, Illinois too!

Story
Hi, I'm Riddle. Thanks for taking a look at me! I know my cute face is irresistible, but remember that I will take up lots of your time and attention while I grow into an awesome adult dog. Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things I will look to you for. Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in my mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so I can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines. But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy I will bring into your life. If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Story
Aaron - Male Cattle Dog/Mountain Cur Mutt Mix. (Breeds are STRICTLY BEST GUESS ONLY) Date of Birth 1/29/2024 Current Weight 28-30lbs Aaron is a one-year-old, 28-pound bundle of love who has spent his entire life in a shelter, waiting for his chance at a forever home. Now that he's in Illinois, he’s getting his first real taste of home life, and he’s loving it! This handsome boy adores being near people and is already well-socialized with other dogs. He’s a friendly, affectionate pup who’s eager to bond and learn. Since living in a home is brand new to him, he’ll need a patient adopter willing to continue his basic training and help him build confidence in his new world. Aaron would thrive with someone who will guide him as he discovers the joys of being a beloved family member. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch, going for walks, or simply being by your side, this sweet boy is ready to give you his whole heart. Aaron would do best with a fenced in yard. He can be active. (In a good way) Will be a great companion for an active family or person. If he seems like he would make a perfect fit for you and your family. Please visit the rescue webpage www.foreverhomedogrescueil@ gmail.com for requirements, process and applications. WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS Thank you for considering the adoption of one of our rescue dogs. We are committed to finding our rescues the perfect home. Together we can make a difference in the life of a dog. The adoption process should be a fun and exciting time for families and dogs. Our goal is to place our babies in forever homes. The potential adopter needs to be dedicated to their care and training for life. Understand that sharing your life with a dog can be a commitment of 15+ years. This would include feeding, exercise, training, vetting, and providing a loving home. Ask yourself, "Am I ready for this type of commitment?" If you are ready, we are here to help. We do have some requirements to help us find the perfect placement of our babies. WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE ONLY. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL BUILDING 1. Apply online at https://www.foreverhomedogrescueil.org We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family (including other dogs) to approve an adoption. Only a final approval for adoption can take place after a successful meet and greet. This is done by appointments only. We will not proceed with the adoption if everyone has not met the dog. This will allow others the opportunity to adopt the dog. 2. Adopters MUST be 25 years old. Information on all adults/members living in the home is required We REQUIRE you to provide proof and vet reference that all current and past pets have been kept up to date on all routine medical. 3. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spayed/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, 4. If you do not own your home, you must provide landlord contact information on the application and a copy of your lease that outlines the rules for dog ownership in your residence. Large breed dogs will not be adopted into apartment settings or where there are breed/ size restrictions. Puppies have special needs and require a home where someone is available to care for, socialize, and give basic training. If you are gone for more than a couple hours at a time, please consider adopting a teen or older dog. 5. Adoption fees are $425.00. We accept Zelle, Cash or Checks. (Prices are subject to change without notice). 6. All dogs and puppies adopted through Forever Home are fully vetted with age appropriate vaccines. Keep in mind once you take possession of your newly adopted dog, any and all future medical costs or care is YOUR responsibility. 7.
