Story
Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. For information about adding this adorable girl to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
Meet Teddy, a 2-year-old Kelpie mix who’s ready to start his next chapter! His story? It’s been a rollercoaster. Teddy was heartlessly thrown out by his former family, but a kind-hearted college student stepped in to give him a safe spot. When they tried to return him, his old family coldly turned him away, saying they didn’t want him back. The student tried their best, but with a strict landlord threatening eviction, they had no choice but to bring Teddy to Famous Fido Rescue. Now Teddy’s looking for someone who’s down to match his vibe – he’s a smart, active dude who’s all about those daily walks and playtime sessions. He’s got tons of potential and just needs someone to show him what being part of a real family feels like. If you’re up for a loyal, loving sidekick who’ll stick by you through thick and thin, Teddy might be your guy!

These pups are in Elburn, Illinois too!

Story
Meet Penny Formerly Known as Porsia: Ready for Her Forever Home! Hi, I'm Penny! I'm just over 1 year old, around 40 pounds, and I recently made my way up from Texas with my adorable puppies. I was a great mama, but now that my pups are weaned, it's my turn to find a forever family to call my own! I may be part Australian Shepherd or Kelpie—whatever my mix, one thing's for sure: I'm stunning! With one blue eye and one brown eye, I’m quite the head-turner. In my foster home, I live with kids and another dog, and I absolutely love them both. I’m still young, so sometimes I get a little too excited and jump up, but my foster family is helping me work on that. I'm doing great with potty training—when I go outside, I do my business right away. I love toys and playing fetch! I’ll bring the ball back to you every time, ready for another throw. I’m also super affectionate; I enjoy giving kisses and cuddling up on the couch. At night and during the day when my foster family is out, I rest in my crate. I might whine for a couple of minutes when I first go in, but I quickly settle down and sleep peacefully through the night. I’d love to find a family of my own—hopefully just in time for the holidays. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and beautiful companion, I’m your girl. Let’s make this season one to remember. Ready to meet Penny? Fill out an application and make her dream of a forever home come true! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Nova - Female Weight - 12# Age: 9 Weeks Meet Nova – The Sweet and Stunning Puppy Looking for Her Forever Home! Nova is a 9-week-old mix breed puppy with a beautiful sable black coat and striking blue eyes. At just 12 pounds, she’s the perfect combination of playful energy and cuddly sweetness, ready to bring love and joy to her future family. Nova’s Story: Nova’s journey began on the streets of Texas, where her young mother, a stray, gave birth to her and her siblings on Halloween. Despite being underweight and struggling to survive, their mother did her best to care for her puppies until a kind rescuer brought the family to a shelter. Thanks to a foster and Safe Haven’s efforts, Nova and her siblings made their way to Illinois at just nine days old. Now, after 8 weeks in a loving foster home, Nova is ready to find a family to call her own. About Nova: This little girl is smart, curious, and eager to learn. Like any young puppy, Nova is working on her house manners, using pee pads in her foster home but not yet potty trained. She’s also just beginning to learn about crates and leashes. Nova has a wonderful balance of energy and calm. She loves playtime but also enjoys snuggling in your lap for a long nap. One of her unique quirks is her love of being rocked and hummed to sleep. Nova also has a talkative side, greeting you with sweet “conversations” whenever you return home. Socialization and Temperament: Nova has been well-socialized with people and dogs of all sizes in her foster home. She’s a bit cautious when meeting new people but quickly warms up with guidance and reassurance, showing her affection with kisses and tail wags. She would thrive in a home with children and enjoys playing with other dogs. The Perfect Home for Nova: Nova is looking for a family that will shower her with love and provide the patience and guidance a young puppy needs. With positive reinforcement and consistency, she’ll grow into a well-adjusted and loyal companion. At 9 weeks old, Nova is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, making her a great fit for almost any household.
