Story
Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. For information about adding this adorable girl to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
Connie is a 5-year-old Australian Kelpie mix who was rescued as a stray in Arkansas. Despite the challenges she faced on the streets, she’s a sweet and resilient dog with a loving personality. At 5 years old, Connie is in the prime of her life—still full of energy and curiosity, but with the maturity that comes from experience. She’s loyal, intelligent, and eager to please, making her a great companion for an active family or individual. Connie enjoys physical activities like running and hiking, and she’s always up for a good play session. She’s also quite trainable, as Kelpies are known for their smarts and desire to work alongside their humans. Though she can be a little cautious in new situations, she quickly warms up to those she trusts, and once she does, she’ll stick by your side through thick and thin. Connie is looking for a home where she can receive plenty of love, attention, and mental stimulation—she’d do best with owners who are experienced with her breed or who can provide her with the exercise and structure she thrives on. Connie is ready for her forever family and has so much love to give!THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process! Story
Meet Teddy, a 2-year-old Kelpie mix who’s ready to start his next chapter! His story? It’s been a rollercoaster. Teddy was heartlessly thrown out by his former family, but a kind-hearted college student stepped in to give him a safe spot. When they tried to return him, his old family coldly turned him away, saying they didn’t want him back. The student tried their best, but with a strict landlord threatening eviction, they had no choice but to bring Teddy to Famous Fido Rescue. Now Teddy’s looking for someone who’s down to match his vibe – he’s a smart, active dude who’s all about those daily walks and playtime sessions. He’s got tons of potential and just needs someone to show him what being part of a real family feels like. If you’re up for a loyal, loving sidekick who’ll stick by you through thick and thin, Teddy might be your guy!

Story
Meet Copper! 34 lbs Approx age 6-7 months Male Red heeler mix Do you love a success story?? Do you also hate to be alone, love to be touched every second, and want a dog to gaze lovingly at you every time you glance in their direction? Then Copper is the guy for you! This heeler mix started life in horrible conditions, and was likely never in a home for the first months of his life. His family was saved in the literal 11th hour, and Copper made his way to Illinois be begin his Good Boy training. The last few weeks he has been working on his manners, maintaining a clean home, and socializing. His recall is great, and he would probably excel at agility training. A good home for Copper would meet his need for working his body and mind. Herding dog experience is a plus, but just like dogs, owners can be trained as well. If you have love, patience, and a good pair of walking shoes, Copper might be the handsome pup you have been looking for. Story
Meet Layla!! I am a very special girl named after my foster mom’s niece. I am 12 weeks, 5 lbs and an Aussie Chi mix. I am special girl because I suffered an injury causing me to be blind in one eye. My blue eye also has limited vision. The vet says my eye will need to be monitored but is not causing me any pain. But don’t worry, this hasn’t slowed me down!! I came up from Texas with my sister who did a great job looking out for me, but she’s just a puppy herself and needs someone to protect her. I have a fierce personality and am brave beyond my years. My favorite things are wrestling my Fosters golden, running around the neighborhood on my walks and playing with the other foster puppies. I get along with everyone and love to start the wrestling matches. I also like to sneak off to curl up next to the golden. Because of my vision, I like to taste things to explore them, my forever family will need to understand how to work with me to keep me safe and build even more confidence. I very much rely on other dogs, verbal commands and touch to reassure me that people won’t hurt me. I love kids too but they need to understand how I explore with my mouth. I am learning no bite, kisses, off, sit, touch, and walk nice. Like my sister, I am a true athlete! She’s got a few pounds on me but I am faster, more agile and can jump off anything! I also love to dig! My foster mom has to keep switching up my gates because I like to escape and run through the house. I also crawl underneath couches. My family will need to stay on their toes!! I would do best with a fenced yard as well due to my limited vision so I can run without worry! While balls and playing are great, the best thing is when my foster mom holds me. I love to cuddle and snuggle and get belly rubs. She tells me up so I don’t get scared anymore! I even let kids hold me! I am learning potty training and better than my sister (don’t tell her)! And sleep with her at night in our playpen. My dream family has other dogs, fenced yard and is active!! Older kids might be better due to my challenges however I did great with toddlers when I met them. Are you my perfect family? Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
Hi my name is Victoria, but my foster family calls me Tori! I'm the sweetest snuggle bug! I love people and prefer to be close with my humans. I do well with other dogs, I have a foster brother who I love, but I haven't been around cats. I was a new Mama who was very skinny when I arrived from Texas, but I'm an excellent eater and gaining weight. I'm currently around 40 pounds and 2 years old! I'm am a herding dog, so I do try to herd my foster brother, and my ears stick straight up when I see a squirrel, but I'm very gentle to other dogs. I'm an excellent walking companion, and a perfect angel on a leash. I love walks or just being in my yard. I'm a pretty quiet girl who loves lounging on the couch, chewing on bones or going on car rides. Toys were new to me, but I have discovered I love to play. I'm doing pretty well with my potty training as long as I'm on a schedule. I love treats, so that always helps me remember to go outside! At first I hated my crate, but now when my foster parents show me my kong, and say crate I go right in and sleep soundly through the night. I'm in my crate when they are at work, and I only whine for a few minutes after they leave. I love kids, and getting all the love. I currently live with two four year olds and a nine year old, and they are always loving on me. It's never quiet at my foster home, so the loud doesn't bother me. I'm looking for my forever family, maybe that's you! Love, Victoria Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). .
