Story
Teagan is a 2 (ish) year old, 20 pound, fully grown Australian Kelpie mix adopted in December 2024 as a rescue from Puerto Rico. It seems he’s had a rough time prior to getting to Florida. Teagan has come out of his shell and now knows that toys and play are fun. Tummy rubs and neck scratches are enjoyable for him, and he will seek out your company. His tail wagging and happy greetings are heartwarming. Teagan is a quick learner, and knows basic commands (sit, OK, wait, off, leave it). He’s shy, gentle and sweet, with a playful side that’s been fun to see. Teagan has shown himself to be agile and athletic. Teagan isn’t thriving in a downtown apartment living environment with the constant noise of traffic, sirens, construction, etc. Going outside to the bathroom here means navigating both pedestrian and vehicle traffic, which is stressful for him. He’d do best in a quieter neighborhood. Teagan will capture your heart so please give him the chance to become part of your family!

Harry is very smart, athletic, loyal, and affectionate, and thrives when he is engaged in activities with his human friends. He has the temperament of a working dog and may be trained for agility and dock diving. He has herded sheep and is very good at it. This is a dog for someone who understands and appreciates the breed. Cattle dogs are bred to work on farms and are strong and smart dogs. Harry rides well in the car and sleeps in his crate at night.
