Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Monica along with her brother Chandler and 2 other siblings Ross & Rachel were found by some tourists, abandoned in the Bahamas. They sought help at a local rescue on the islands. The rescue needed help taking any dogs or puppies as they are being forced to close. We were able to take 3. Ross is recovering from an injury of unknown origin and Rachel found a home. They were flown to us via Miami on July 31st, the last day young puppies were allowed to be flown in as the regulations changed Aug 1st to no puppies under 6 months of age. The cutest puppy with the most adorable ears!! Monica is a playful girl, a little on the shy side who warms up quickly. Monica is friendly with everyone and good with other dogs. Best guess at breed. Story
Maxine is a sweet, petite little lady. She is estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old. She's 37 pounds and a complete sweetheart. Maxine was found as a stray and brought to our county shelter. No one came looking for her. Maxine has clearly had untreated skin issues on her back for quite some time, leaving her with rough skin and little hair. It's unknown if her hair will grow back, but it's possible with time and proper care and nutrition. Maxine is a very sweet and friendly girl. She's great with other dogs and all people. Cats are unknown. Maxine is such a happy go lucky girl. She loves to cuddle in bed or the couch, chew bones and she can be pretty frisky and cute. This girl deserves so much and she's a complete joy to have around. **EMAIL INQUIRIES ONLY **

Story
Welcome Cooper to Sunshine Big Dog Rescue. Approximately 7 month old male, 33 pounds, possibly Australian Kelpie mix, neutered and up to date on shots. Found wandering the Town and Country Preserve behind Alonso High School. He served his time in county lock up and is now ready to find his real forever home! He is Super playful, loves to snuggle, ridiculously smart, knows how to sit and learning how to shake. He is crate trained, potty trained and food driven. He has a touch of separation anxiety, likely due to being dumped by previous owners. Gets along with other dogs, he’s been exposed to cats but he is unsure of them. To meet this distinguished gentleman, please review the requirements and submit an application. Story
Trinket is a 4 month old Australian Shepherd mix, (mom is a PB Aussie, dad is unknown) who will need to be spayed at the age appropriate time. She is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and has her Rabies and 6 month Bordetella shots, as well as all her puppy shots. Trinket is a fun, loving, friendly, and full of spunk. She LOVES people and will require plenty more training especially in the potty department. She is getting better with it, she just can't hold it as long as she'd like to. She is crate trained but does better with a chew in her cage. She can be a handful but is sweet and willing to learn, loves to use her nose to find things to eat. And enjoys using snuffle mats. She loves playing in water, with other puppies, and older dogs. She can be a digger but is easily redirected if you're watching her. She also has what her foster mom calls punchy paws, where she likes to greet you with her paws and do just about everything with them. She will also need a lot more work on the leash, she's good just needs training. She's also a lawn mower in the fact she loves to eat grass while outside. She is scared of cats, but still curious, typically won't chase them especially if they're used to dogs and don't run. She likes to watch horses but doesn't have a huge interest in following them along the fence line. Not sure how she would do with children but I imagine she may knock down little ones down and lick them. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She knows sit, lay down, paw, stay, and is learning leave it. She's quick to learn new commands, and very food motivated. She is still in the puppy play stage so she's still learning not to puppy play with humans in the same way as other puppies and still gives play nibbles here and there but she's a good girl. She's a good passenger in the car but loves to chew things so she'll need to be tethered and have some chew toys in the car until the chew faze is over. She tends to whine a little out of boredom but sops after a while. Requirements: * Fenced yard * Meet and greet * More training * A home that will fix her at the age appropriate time * dog or dogs who are great with puppies because she loves to give other dogs kisses and loves to play Available in New Port Richey, FL If Trinket sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family and a $50 REFUNDABLE spay deposit which will be refunded upon proof of procedure. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Kash is a 5 month old Australia Shepherd mix, who needs to be fixed at the age appropriate time. Who has his 6 month Bordetella shots, Rabies vaccination, and all of his puppy shots. He is on Flea/Tick/heartworm prevention. He is an energetic boy, but is also very smart, cuddly, and calm. He will need to continue his potty training but is already catching on very quickly. He is also crate trained. Kash is on the smaller side with short little legs, and may or may not be smaller than the average Aussie it's still hard to tell. But he definitely has some shorter legs. He LOVES people and just wants love and pets, he could nip younger children as he's a herding dog, but hasn't been tested around children yet. He's curious about cats and may need some redirection with them, but typically will stop if being told to. He loves to watch the horses at his foster home as they walk by. Definitely has potential with herding or anything else you may want to try with him down the road. He also enjoys playing with other puppies and older dogs and does well with entertaining himself. He loves to play, run, and just needs a job to call his own. He listens pretty well especially when he picks up or chews something he's not supposed to. He knows sit, lay down, stay, & paw, and he's learning leave it. He's pretty calm and good on the leash. He is not a fan of water but he is coming around slowly. He is a pretty good passenger in the car, will need chew toys in the car until the chewing faze is over. His favorite toys are squeaky balls & hard chews. He is learning how much he loves to play fetch. Requirements: * Fenced yard * Meet and greet * More training * A home that will fix him at the age appropriate time * Dog or dogs that can tolerate puppies because he loves to play, but he's not crazy when he plays Available in New Port Richey, FL If he sounds perfect for you, here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoptions There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family and $50 REFUNDABLE neuter deposit that will be refunded upon proof of neuter.
