Story
Luna was just recently adopted by me on December 2nd. She is 5 years old 41 pounds. I have taken her out to public spaces to socialize her as she was not socialized before me. She has a history of being aggressive with larger dogs in small and unfamiliar environments, she does well with small dogs that are friendly. I have taken her to public spaces with other dogs and she does a good job of ignoring them if they dont bark at her and if they do I tell her no and keep her moving. If you take her out just keep her at a safe distance and don’t take her off the leash. She does open doors, so lock them. Would prefer a grass yard and have someone to be home. She is potty/house trained, she doesn’t like crates but just needs a treat for it. She likes to play with toys/fetch. She’s good with commands, loves people, walks, car rides, cuddles. I’d like her to meet potential adopters before leaving so reach out. I’m leaving the country in a few months/too big for my home so need a new home ASAP.

Story
Brandy is a beautiful dog. She is smart, happy, energetic and very lovable! She can probably be trained for competition, she loves catching tennisballs all day! She is 3 years old, currently rooming with a Dashshund. She is owner protective and would do better with someone who will excercise her and have her be an only dog. We got her from a shelter, but we now need to relocate to another state and have no place that admits dogs. Need someone who will love her as we do.

Story
Maddie is the EINSTEIN of Kelpies! She is the rarest of the rare- an ALL BLACK Kelpie GIRL. This working breed is highly human-bonded: a loyal and especially LOVING FAMILY DOG. Like ALL Australian Kelpies, this is not an apartment dog, she was bred to work on your property, guard your family, patrol your perimeter and do her JOB! This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity for the RIGHT FAMILY with Land, Knowledge, and an owner who understands these kinds of breeds. THE IDEAL home will offer a large fenced property, a family experienced with the tempraments and intelligence of Kelpies, Aussies, Border Collies, etc. Miss MADDIE will offer YOU... an AMAZING INTELLIGENCE (beyond ANY other dog you have EVER had~) a SEA of LOVE and ABSOLUTE LOYALTY, a deep companionship and the ability to alert to protect your property if that is ever necessary. If YOU can offer Miss Maddie the perfect FURever home, respond ASAP with a PHONE NUMBER that you will answer when our Volunteer Coordinator calls you, and suggest a SPECIFIC TIME WINDOW that is best for you. Miss Maddie is ONLY available to homes in San Diego County. Lets chat- she is one of our FAVORITES! We have LOTS of great information about this BEAUTY!

Story
Classic Kelpie girl, NICE NIKITA is a 2yo Sweetie. It is an absolute pleasure to work with this adorable girl! Nikki demonstrates the Superior Intelligence of working breeds in everything she does. From her loving nature to her quick learning, this family doggy is a STAR! The IDEAL HOME will have two (or even LOTS more!) children, a VERY LARGE FENCED YARD, as well as someone home most of the time. Kelpies crave time to give their love and companionship. This is NOT an apartment dog. If you're looking for a FABULOUS girl to entertain your family, join you on daily RUNNING (or even walking) go hiking/beach/baseball games, THIS IS YOUR GIRL! We hardly have to mention that Nikki is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING- everywhere she goes she turns heads! Her grace, poise and charm turn heads. She is alert and aware of everthing in her environment. Also on her Doggy Resume is RODENT CONTROL! If you have a gopher or rodent issue of any kind, this FAST and bright girl will save you thousands of dollars in Pest Control. Nikki is an alpha girl, so any companion doggy should be mellow. She has not been tested with felines, but generally Kelpies are known to do well with family HOUSE cats (we can't guarantee outdoor cats though!) Australian Kelpies are in the same category as Aussies, Border Collies, etc. They are ALL VERY VERY VERY VERY Smart. That means they are NOT ideal for first time dog owners who have had no experience with these kinds of breeds. Nikki has basic training and the ideal adoption candidate to be her new family will be prepared to CONTINUE her training the minute she graces your front door. LET THIS SUMMER be remembered as the year YOUR FAMILY ADOPTED THE BEST, ONCE IN A LIFETIME DOG ever! To get an immediate interview to be on the list, respond with a PHONE NUMBER and SCHEDULE a SPECIFIC TIME WINDOW when our Volunteer Adoption Counselor will call you. (Our volunteers all take time from their own famililes/work/lives to help! No one wants to play endless telephone tag when phones are unanswered ) For the family who has been looking for the perfect FAMILY dog, CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY! This is the ONLY Australian Kelpie we have EVER had in our Rescue. She is highly valuable and impressive- we are committed to getting her into the IDEAL home so Nikkie can begin LOVING a new family and enjoying SUMMER IN SAN DIEGO!
