Please contact Lucinda (lucinda@northbaycanine.org) for more information about this pet.For more information or to adopt, please contact  Daniella Farrelly <danifarrelly@gmail.com> Shya is a 1 year 3 month old Australian Kelpie mix, weighing about 30lbs. She was found as a stray and taken to a shelter where she was due to be euthanized, but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home. Shya is very sweet and loving, but timid and scared (submissive, non-aggressive), and needs someone with time and patience to help her learn to trust again. She settled into her foster home within a couple of hours, and is very playful with her foster mom. She loves cuddles and belly rubs! She does suffer from separation anxiety, and will need to be helped through this. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations and fully housebroken. She is smart, with a lovely temperament, and will make a wonderful addition to the right family. Shya gets on well with other dogs. Timid at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually. Good with cats, but scared of children. Story
Ox he lives with us in Oakland, CA. He is a resilient 11 month old Australian Kelpie who will turn 1 years old in December! He unfortunately lost his back leg as a 6 month old due to a compound fracture in his femur. About 4 months after his amputation he sustained another injury to his back leg making him unable to move. This was with his previous family but we stepped in , got him surgery and started feeding him regularly , Ox is stronger and happier than ever only 1.5 months post surgery , you wouldn’t even know. He is a male who has been neutered, his shots are up to date and he’s great with others! He loves other dogs, loves to play and be outside. He loves his sleep time at night and is on a great routine for going outside to use the bathroom. He’s super smart, knows a few commands but is eager to learn more! We need to rehome him because we already have 3 dogs of our own and 4 is unfortunately to much in a one bedroom Apartment!

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:6Meet Ringpop! This energetic and fun-loving 2-year-old kelpie mix is ready to bring excitement and joy into your life! At 46 pounds, Ringpop is a bundle of energy with a playful personality that will keep you on your toes. He’s a social, forward pup who loves to wrestle and play with other dogs, so he’d do well in a home with a dog buddy who shares his playful vibe. Or, if he's your solo dog, he’ll happily be the center of attention! This sweetheart is super soft and fluffy, and he’ll readily accept pets and attention, often requesting them with a wagging tail. Ringpop is a well-mannered guy who sits politely for treats. He's easy to walk on a leash, but also enjoys some playful moments, especially when it comes to chasing or herding you. He would probably love a good run by your side! Ringpop is looking for an active family that can keep up with his enthusiasm and give him the exercise and attention he craves. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who loves to run, wrestle, and be your best buddy, Ringpop might be a great match! December 2, 2024, 5:11 pm
