Story
Meet Bear! Bear is a big handsome boy who is very affectionate and gentle :D He was rescued from High-kill shelter that runs by city by our rescue team. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs. We hope losing weight will improve his hind legs :) *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.

Story
My name is MARLEY and I am available to adopt!! Listen to my wonderful features....I'm a BC fellow, born on Vancouver Island. I am a year and a half old and I love life! I am 49 pounds in weight.  I love fetching balls (yes, I do bring them back to close to the person who threw them), playing with other dogs, going to the beach to swim, and generally living a healthy westcoast outdoor life. How's that for a start?!  My further details include that I am a cuddly guy when I'm indoors enjoying attention from my humans. You've probably noticed that I am a mixed breed dog, both of these heritages being of working dog type. In short, I've never learned about agility courses or herding farm animals but there is a very good chance that I will take to these activities like a....farm guy to farm-type tasks. This is just a guess of course as I've never been introduced to these activities but then again, I'm a smart, trainable guy so it's likely I'll be fine with both. I have been living with my foster family for a short time and they tell me often that I'm smart, playful, and very social with everyone, four-footed and two-footed. I had learned several skills with my previous adopter and I am expanding on those. My previous adopter really loved me lots but life circumstances were such that he had to rehome me. In my future home, if there were to be another young dog to play with, that would be marvelous! I just LOVE to play but, even so, I am also responsive to humans telling me to calm and stay chill. I am a great dog at the dog park, playing with many other dogs. We all have a good time together. I have a few basic skills such as understanding commands such as sit, stay, and come.  I have a moderate-high activity level which means that I really appreciate a visit daily to the dog park but, after a bit of a romp with other dogs, or playing tug or chasing a ball at home, I'm ready to chill and have a nap. This reminds me...I would greatly appreciate living in a house with a fenced yard. I just love to dash out the door in the morning in order to check out my yard and then to race back inside to wait for my breakfast. Did I mention...I just love life and any human around me can't help but share in my joy of living! I am microchipped, neutered, and immunized.  My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters/rehoming adopters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2046150##

Story
Young Marcy, born October 2023 is a Mexican mix with some Australian cattle dog x lab (her sibling was DNA tested and basically had just about every breed you could list out). Marcy is playful and energetic and would like a home with a yard and a family who enjoys getting out to adventure – walking and swimming are things she enjoys. We think Marcy is part of a litter that was dumped near the sanctuary and taken in briefly by a neighbouring farm. When the farmer got up in the morning several of the dogs had already wandered off, including Marcy – her 4 siblings taken into the SPCA PV. A month or so later, she turned up crying at the sanctuary, having found them again. And she’s now safe in the sanctuary. Marcy is playful and friendly – she likes people and other dogs. She did spend some time in a foster home until there was room for her, so has some basic commands and house trained. Marcy has been tested with cats – she was curious and a bit confused, and eventually thought perhaps they might want to play. Marcy is excited around toys and bones and will sometimes growl so other dogs don’t take them away from her. She could really use the attention that a real home would afford her. Marcy is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. She has siblings living in Vancouver, Bellingham and Vancouver island and all are thriving. Flight availability to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle and Vancouver island (with less frequency), will resume in fall and she’d love to have a foster or forever home to give her this wonderful chance. If you think she might be a fit for you, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw Video: https://www.facebook.com/spcapv/videos/1708589223214864

Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.
