Story
Name: Shaggy Age: Adult Weight: 20lbs Breed: Double Merle Mini Aussie Doodle Good with kids/cats/dogs: All! House trained: Almost! Crate trainer: Does not enjoy but will settle Special needs: Deaf, some vision impairment (more noticeable at night) Where foster is located: Waukesha area Shaggy is a sweet, friendly Mini Aussie Doodle. He is dog, cat and kid friendly and looking to be a cherished member of the family. He enjoys cuddling up and staying close to his foster family (humans and canines) and is looking for a home that wants a cuddler/lap dog. While in great overall health, Shaggy is deaf and also faces some vision impairment (more noticeable at night), so a yard, while not required, may be beneficial. If his future home doesn’t have a fenced yard, he will need someone who is happy to take him on walks to exercise him (luckily he walks well on a leash). Despite being deaf, Shaggy is curious and alert and working on learning hand signs. This brave, confident boy LOVES running and playing chase with other dogs in his fenced in yard at his foster home. He is a friendly and happy pup! Shaggy’s forever family has to be patient and understanding of his challenges as he learns the routines of a new environment. He loves to be near his people and may initially be vocal when left alone (Kongs/distractions are helpful). This sweet pup is sure to make a lucky family so happy, could he be the pup you are looking for? Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Harley was adopted from the Wisconsin humane society. She has lots of energy and would greatly appreciate another dog to play with all the time. She lives with four cats that she wants to play with in “puppy-style”. She still needs work with potty training. She is very scared of things and shows this with growling. She’s a herding puppy so she has tendencies to want to herd small children. She needs more attention than we can give her unfortunately. She loves to cuddle and gives kisses and hugs. She loves going to the dog park and playing with dogs. She doesn’t like strangers trying to pet her, she usually backs away. She’s improving since we got her but she still needs time. She likes to use her voice and bark. A home with another dog would be the ideal home. And a place that she can run freely would also be a plus. She’s about 10 months old. She’s a sensitive puppy so someone who uses positive training styles is also a must. She doesn’t train well with treats, she’ll usually drop it.
