Hair we go again... yet another ADORABLE litter of puppies in need of a loving home. Introducing the Hair Litter: Beard, Goatee, Handlebar, Sideburns, and Mustache. These five dogs found themselves tangled in an unfortunate situation through no fault of their own after being surrendered into our program. But despite their rocky start, these pups are ready to brush their past to the side and say hello to forever. As Poodle/Spaniel mixes, these little ones will certainly require some grooming throughout their lifetime to ensure that their curly coats are maintained. Poodles are known for their intelligence and active nature while Spaniels are known to be playful and friendly - so these little cuties are sure to be a well-rounded bunch. As with any puppies, these little ones have plenty of time to grow into the best dogs that they are meant to be so it’s important that they receive enough time, training and patience. Story
Kahlua is a 3-year-old poodle mix weighing 12 pounds. Her coat is a gorgeous unusual brown color. She was surrendered with 2 other small dogs because her owner stated she was unable to care for them secondary to health issues. Kahlua is gaining her confidence and enjoying the attention of her foster. Lap time, couch time and accompanied outside time are all at the top of her “I love It' list. We can say a fly swatter terrifies her and, in some circumstances, she can be shy but quickly warms up when she sees you as a friendly human.  She has been good with other small dogs and is beginning to play with toys. Kahlua tends to be a slow eater and likes company and encouragement to finish her meal. She will need some time to learn to walk better on a leash with harness. She has done well with housebreakingKahlua is spayed microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, wormed and has had a vet evaluation. Her adoption fee is $300. ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. If you’re seeking a low-energy, sweet as pie curly cutie to enter your life, then your search is over. I’m the perfect companion for anybody who wants a calm, cuddle buddy after a long work day. Don’t let my age fool you though, I still get around at a decent pace. I know that getting a new, tiny puppy probably sounds really fun, but hear me out! All of my household manners are mastered, I walk like a saint on my leash, I don’t bark at strangers and I don’t jump up on anyone. Older dogs don’t look so bad now do they? 😉 I promise you, if given the chance I will be the best girl in just about any home.
