Story
Very sweet miniature male poodle. I got him 2 years ago March 13th. 2023. I think he was 2 years old at the time. I answered a ade. When I received him he was completely house trained. I have no issues with him, he doesn’t damage things or do a lot of barking. He minds well and is very shy. He was groomed on January 8, 2025. The Groomer cut his fur too close so, he looks different at this time. I will post updated photos. I leave him home alone when working and I don"t come home to accidents. And I work 10 hour shifts. He does need a female owner.

Story
Meet Archie! Archie is a 2 year old toy poodle with a heart of gold! Archie came from a puppy mill situation, but has been doing an excellent job overcoming his past. Archie’s personality continues to bloom with every passing day and is turning into an adorable curious goofball. He has recently discovered the fun of zoomies and toys. Small squeakies are his favorite, but will happily chase a ball(he’s just not great at bringing it back). Since gaining enough confidence to venture outside, Archie has started working on potty training. He still has some work to do, but with a consistent schedule and an attentive parent(s) he should make progress quickly. He has also been working on neighborhood walks on a leash and is doing really well in his harness. After discovering the world outside of a crate, Archie decided he is not a fan of going back in one and would prefer a home that does not require crate time. He does, however, do well having a designated area to be in while his foster parents are at work, as long as he has another dog to spend time with. Archie has really been relying on his foster families dog through the process of just becoming a dog. Because of this we believe that he would do best in a house with another dog. He has had no experience with cats. Archie is still learning that he can trust humans. He has made huge improvements in this area, but will need a home with no children and a patient parent willing to give him the time to let his trust grow. He plays hard to get, but with slow gentle movements he will let you pick him up and instantly becomes an expert cuddler and lap lounger. This little guy is a great balance of entertaining energy and loving cuddles. He is sure to be a ray of sunshine and awesome addition to his forever home. Archie's adoption fee is $450. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
**Meet Baden!** Baden is a five-year-old, 12lb Toy Poodle with a couple of extra pounds, rescued from a puppy mill where he lived a life of breeding. Baden is good with the other dogs in his foster home and does very well in his crate while his foster mom is at work. He is working on house and leash training, making steady progress. While Baden is still a bit shy, he allows you to pick him up with no issues, enjoying the comfort and safety of being held. Though a little camera shy, Baden’s beautiful coat and gentle nature shine in person.
