After arriving over a year ago in need of TPLO surgery on both back legs, Joe endured four surgeries and extensive recovery time. Now, his true personality is shining through. Joe is a happy, friendly, and playful dog who loves everyone he meets. However, due to his size and energy, he needs a home with people who can manage his physicality, and he isn't suited for a household with small children. Joe also enjoys the company of other dogs, though his enthusiasm might be too much for smaller ones. Continued training to help manage his energy is important, but he learns quickly and is eager to please. Joe walks well on a leash, is potty trained, and does well in a gated room with his foster siblings. He's a vocal dog, so a home without shared walls would be ideal. Above all, Joe's love language is affection—he thrives on being close to his people and loves to cuddle. After all he's been through, we're incredibly proud of Joe and can't wait for him to find the loving home he deserves. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org November 3, 2024, 6:27 pm

She has warmed up nicely and although still quite skittish, she seems to be doing very well with this transition. She is potty trained. She does not walk great on a leash, but she loves being out in a fenced in yard. She is slow to trust people and would probably do best in a low key environment with older considerate kids that don’t surprise her, as she is always “on-guard.” She is not much of a cuddler, but does prefer when others are in the room with her.  Milly barks occasionally when someone comes to the door, but is otherwise very quiet. We leave her out at night and she sleeps well in her dog bed. She is mostly un-phased by our 2 small dogs and has just recently become more interested in playing with them. She now knows “sit” and is very treat motivated! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org November 7, 2024, 3:53 pm
