Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving beginning of April 2025 from Southern California where we are located to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed 😊 We would love to add Emma to our trip for the right home 💕 As always, for peace of mind for our adopting families we never ask for ANYTHING up front. Adoption fee/travel costs are always due when we arrive in person with Emma in hand ❤️ Meet Emma. She is a 3.5 year old poodle/bichon mix. She is spayed, current on her yearly vaccines, microchipped, and had an overall great wellness exam with our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own ❤️ She is house trained, and will paw at the door when she needs to be let out. She will come to you, and bark to let you know if you aren't paying attention to her pawing method. She hasn't had any accidents in our home since she has been with us 🙂 She has been introduced to a crate, but she is not a fan of it at all. She will howl, and cry when left in the crate so we decided it was best to make the crate obsolete. She has amazing house manners, and does very well unattended in the home so eliminating the crate wasn't hard at all. She likes to lay on her bed in our room at night, and will sleep peacefully all night knowing she is near her human ❤️ She occasionally likes to sleep in before officially starting her day, so we make sure to keep the curtains closed until she decides to join us 😊 She is leash trained, and really loves her walks. She will stroll around the neighborhood with you, or lounge at your feet if out to a pet friendly restaurant. She is very easy going, and calm which has allowed us to include her in ALOT of what we do out of the home which brings her a tremendous amount of joy. She is great with other dogs, and cats alike but her true LOVE lays with her humans. Her eyes light up the moment they connect with yours and that's where she finds her true happy place every day ❤️ Don't get me wrong, if you have another animal in your home she will happily join them in life and be there absolute best friend but her person can equally hold that title so with or without animal friends as long as she has YOU then that's all that will ever matter 😊 She is not a barker, but will alert you on occasion to unfamiliar sounds. She is very confident in her surroundings once settled, so we rarely hear a bark from her, unless it's a new noise and she wants to familiarize herself with what it is. She is very smart, and listens very well so if you want her to follow suit while you investigate a noise she will gladly let you take over and keep her safe because her trust fully lies with her person. She is wonderful on road trips and loves to look out the window and take in the beauty of all that's new to her. Once she is tired of gazing out the window, she will lay down and nap til you reach your destination. She is just happy to be a part of the ride, no matter where it leads ❤️ She is wonderful with our groomers, and always loves a good spa day. She is amazing on the table, and is very patient with all that needs to be done. She is an absolute beautiful soul, and one that will steal your heart from the moment you meet her ❤️ Her adoption fee in total is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_emma-1 It covers all vet costs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped (registration is included,) is current on flea/tick medication, and due to slight allergies was also given an allergy injection to relieve those symptoms (which worked wonderful!) It also covers the care involved in the time she has been here with us, her grooming costs, and her training we have personally done with her here 😊
