** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume. WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, just walk right in. Meeko is a 9 months old Aussiedoodle, born 12/1/23. Her family gave her away, and she was not a good fit with the new family. Meeko has a VERY strong herding drive. She keeps herding the families current dog into a corner and not letting him move. They were playing at the park when they did a meet/greet, but once was home Meeko is keeping him herded up. Now if the family dog was cattle... she is only doing what she was bred to do. She needs a home where she is the only animal. She is not aggressive with other animals. But due to the strong herding, she is not going to be fun for the current dog. She would need a home with older children due to the herding. She is housebroken in the home and is also crate trained. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet. If you are interested in Meeko, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event. This pet comes with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org . This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle Meeko into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday. This pet is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits, including a Healthy Start Certificate with the VCA Hospitals with a $250 health credit (restrictions apply). Adoption fee applies. Please make sure you have read the information listed on the homepage for requirements and restrictions. Foster homes & volunteers are always needed. Chief is adorable. He is a poodle/shih tzu we believe. He ended up at the shelter through no fault of his own and was in danger for his life because he was afraid. We pulled him out, and he was just neutered and an umbilical hernia was repaired. Chief is around 5 years of age. He is a great dog. He gets along with others and is pretty calm. He is not needy. He is learning a dog door although he can mark a little to start. He is quiet. The only drawback for him, is he can be a picky eater.   Adoption fee is $300 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.
