Story
Jovi is a 9 to 10-year-old mini poodle. He was found on December 8 in Lawrenceville. He was stuck in a briar’s patch and had to be cut out of the thorns. He was rushed to an ER vet as he was very emaciated and severely matted. animal control was called as he was not chipped. They had to take him to the shelter because of his condition. Gwinnett animal control was closed to any rescue or adoptions because of a virus in the shelter. I couldn’t pick him up till after the first of the year when they reopened. Jovi was found to be completely blind and has a tumor on his front leg. He is the sweetest baby ever despite all his problems. He is a senior, but still has a lot of love to give. His Foster Mom said he is completely potty trained and loves the company of other dogs his size. Do you have a place in your heart and home to help him live out the rest of his years in the comfort and with lots of love. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
